I can’t agree with MW’s opinion on how to work with divergence in medicine because when you choose to go “both ways” it is like throwing spaghetti against a wall to see what sticks. I can’t imagine we would get far in curing anybody that way. It is close to experimenting when no clear choice is made. There is obviously proven foundational knowledge that is the basis of decisions. We can weigh the options and evidence against it. I choose doctors who respect me enough to not experiment on me unless I request it! Stop vacillating in a prideful way, (too humble to make a decision) and I will return that respect.
