While I agree that masks and lockdowns were mentally harmful for everyone, the Buffalo shooter threatened to shoot up his high school a few years earlier and he’s possibly schizophrenic. If his parents did not get him help when the first threat occurred, how much worse would the Covid situation have deteriorated his thinking…or….could his mental illness have progressed even without Covid.
I saw the live stream of the buffalo shooting. The first person he killed was a white woman. He randomly shot into the store and into the crowd standing outside the store. Watching the video I counted at least 5 white persons shot, and those were his initial victims. It is difficult to believe this was racially motivated based on what I saw, it seemed more like random violence.
To all the questions you asked about the repercussions of the lockdowns, masking, school closures, business closures, lack of personal contact, the answer is a resounding, "Yes!" Humans need all those contacts! You cannot live alone in your head, with only the TV, phone, and video games, 100% of the time and not have some mental deterioration. If you have any initial mental problems, they will only be exacerbated. This could definitely be part of the problem. Also, IMHO, (because I don't trust anyone in office anymore) some of it could be set up to take away our 2A rights. Remember the planned kidnapping of the MI governor? So either the family dropped the ball or the system did as he was able to purchase weapons and a bullet proof vest. I have two kids age 20 and 24 that had/have miserable college years of lockdowns, masks, Vax threats, sickness, isolation, no graduation ceremonies, and the usual family life stressers of death, illness, loss etc etc. They’re on the Internet 24/7
