I do not believe crime stats. I don't believe crime is down or even lower than the 70s and 80s. It's not law enforcement's fault. It's DAs that plead felonies down to misdemeanors or throw charges out and judges that will not give prison time for offenses that deserve prison time. For example, battery on a cop. You hit a cop you need at least five years in prison.
And we do not need build more prisons. Just offer poor countries a chance to house them for the same cost it would take us to house them. They can use their prisons and labor camps. Crime would nosedive over night.
