The elected officials everywhere ,for too long, can say anything without accountability. Normal people should recognized for themselves when it's time to go, the elected official are not normal. I agree, these empty statements are used to take wide ranging decisions:
"There are 5,435 active infections, up from 2,949 a week ago" Can granular data {vaxx, nonvaxx, partial vaxx} be provided? Why the data is not provided? What if the restrictions should apply only to vaxx? How many severe and hospitalized?
"people infected with the Omicron variant could overwhelm B.C. hospitals" What is the thinking (modeling) behind 'could overwhelm hospitals'? No hospitalization availability and occupation numbers were presented.
"the Omicron variant is adding new and more complex challenges to managing the pandemic" What are the challenges? Why managing and not let people manage themselves?
If I will have a chance, these questions should be 'thrown' to her.
