Guskin: "A wide majority of Americans are concerned about politically motivated violence"; 9 IN 10 FEAR VIOLENCE; Nearly 9 in 10 Americans (88 percent) are concerned that political divisions...
have intensified to the point that there’s an increased risk of politically motivated violence in the United States, including over 6 in 10 who are “very concerned.”
This is a terrible situation and should not be happening. We have to return to the place societally where we can disagree and have different views on issues, politics, anything, yet respect each other and not resort to hate and violence. We need to get back to that gracious mercy where we live with each other civilly and caringly in spite of differences, even if stark. This is my hope at least in a time where those of us who speak out and stand forward are under most attack and smear and slander and this drives people already on the edge to act up.
Let us please take a deep breathe and realize that we are fortunate to have life, freedom, and a chance to make a life and raise families. To practice our faiths and dream of tomorrow and get there. Let us work with our law enforcement always to help safeguard societies. Let politics not drive us to bad places. Walk away, walk away. Stop. Re-arrange your life.

A few weeks ago I volunteered to knock on doors for a conservative Senate candadiate to get out the vote. I was met with a lot of hostility. I finished my assigned route but did not volunteer again. I decided this was not going to make any difference. IMO, the best thing you can do is contact your family and friends, encourage them to vote.
When good and decent people feel they have been abandoned by the very insittutions that were ostensibly in place to protect the foundations of social order, chaos is the only outcome as hard criminals feel emboldened and have no expectation of the Rule of Law being upheld. So the very real concerns of violence have more than ample basis. Certainly no one should be surprised that violent crime has skyrocketed where calls to defund the police were loudest and most aggressively pushed. Above all, the divide & conquer strategy has been fueled and funded to achieve destructive objectives, foment civil war, and fracture social order. The current illegitimate regime itself has been abusing its power while hurling rhetorical molotov cocktails at their opposition in the hopes of triggering violent uprising to thus provide the pretext for more draconian infringement of basic rights and usher in police state repression. So much damage has been done to the Republic in just a few short years, none of it by accident or happenstance, all by design. We must not let this stand, the voting booth is our only remaining means to implement change while preserving Constitutional legitimacy or this nation is done.
