Hat tip to Conservative Opposition leader of Canada Pierre Poilievre who said clearly "I will never let the government of Canada (if I were Prime Minister) impose a digital ID"; I am studying Pierre
We will hold you to your word Pierre if you get there, we will help you pack your backs and your government if you lie; not saying you will, but if you do; we must ensure politicians DO NOT lie to us!

I read some of the comments from that page. I cant believe how most of the comments were for "having" a digital ID. Most said they were already tracking them by other means. Wow, how to hand over your freedoms. Way too many whipped people out there.
I was a staunch supporter of Pierre. Now I'm concerned. My concern relates to a comment he gave about screening passengers arriving from China for COVID, which I found to be disturbing. He indicated he'd follow the best scientific advice. Although I cannot recall in detail the words he used I do recall being taken aback, and felt they belied the fact that he's just as likely to be misled by Canada's medical mafia as Trudeau. This, despite the fact that I actually had a chance to speak with him at a local small rally, where I addressed several of the horrific failings of Trudeau et al in their management of COVID. Mind you, at least this man has brains (unlike our PM). In spite of my concerns I still think he's impressive. But I remain worried and will also be watching closely. The only other alternative would be Maxime Bernier, and although I think he's an excellent person, I fear that voting for him could lead to a dilution of the conservative vote which would allow the Liberals to slide up the middle to a victory. Heaven help us.
