Trump is getting a bad rap because its a disaster...odd thing is I think he can reverse it or some of it...but he will need to shred himself of the dead weight around him...he has to declare a victory and stop the bombing...now. he has made bad decisions but I think he is a good man.

Dr. Paul Alexander's avatar

I want him to succeed.

carolyn kostopoulos's avatar

I wanted him to succeed too but let’s face it, the man is too easily led by others. Yes, he made terrible decisions on Covid when he could have relied on the Constitution and protected our rights. He could have done some research and figured out that FAUCI was doing GOF research and fired him on those grounds.

In this even more serious case, why didn’t he actually talk to Iranians, not the expats who live here. But the actual Iranians, before he went on a murderous rampage and tanked the economy. He’s the President, for gods sake! When you have the power to do great damage and ruin the lives of people around the world, maybe you have to proceed with caution and intelligence. Maybe you are obligated to listen to advisors who are warning you against such action. Maybe BiBi shouldn’t be in the situation room when you’re planning the war he’s tried to get for 40 years!

Maybe you should put a lid on your genocidal Truth Socials, showing some awareness of your position in the world.

He’s walked into Israel’s trap and Israel will throw him under the bus once he’s served his purpose.

I’m sad. I expected more, I expected something different. He will lose in the midterms and the democrats will spend the rest of his term on impeachment hearings and this time they have grounds. At the end of his term, we will be more in debt and have fewer Rights, exactly the opposite of what we hoped for.

Ok, he can pin the blame on Hegseth and fire him. What good will that do?

No, he needs to man up, admit that he was wrong, that he got us into this, that he bit off more than he could chew. He needs to say that the YSA is really a Potemkin village, living in the fumes of its former glory. He needs to stop persecuting Cuba. He needs to apologize for Venezuela. He needs to admit that blowing up fishing boats was unjustifiable murder. He needs to tell the American people that we are an empire in decline. Does he have the guts and the wisdom to do that? I don’t think so.

But until Americans face the reality of our circumstances, we will not be able to do anything to correct them. We need to see ourselves as a country, maybe a great enough country by virtue of land mass, but by no means the Greatest country and that other countries can develop and maybe even thrive without our continued interference. We need to tone down the bragging and the bullying. We need to stop sending “money” we don’t have to Israel and ukraine. We need to stop making wars. Defense is fine, offense is not and we can’t keep redefining our offensive wars as somehow “defensive.”

Trump will be remembered but he will not have the legacy he’d hoped for. Iran has taught us a lesson and, when we are merely a good country- not an Empire- we might even be grateful

Oh, stop it, Doc. Trump is not just some kid. He made these decisions to do all these catastrophic things, and he needs to own up to that. He needs to stop passing the buck, and you do too. He simply can't be trusted. End of story.

greatest nation on earth, USA, greatest military being subdued and rag dolled this way? creating mayhem but with all its might being rag dolled by a nation that faced 6 weeks of bombing? by USA and Israel?

Your posts are prolific and poignant to the personalities of the notables you target. I believe you relate to the discursive and explosive Trump style because that helps with making otherwise sophomoric stuff salable. But the styles are a ruse for the ‘Basic Instinct’ of what actually matters in the game of chess which has more to do w control of the world economy.

I have heard that the game of chess was developed in Persia. We understand how much more sophisticated chess is than checkers to the average person. I believe that 47 has given certain advisors precedence because they played into his concept of domination. But the primary objects of propaganda narrative have been a ruse for the real object of this war, which supersedes all the ‘danga, danga’ noise about weapons, threats, etc. What makes this ruse all the more superseded is that for the average observer, the ideas of threats have been built on realistic potentials. But the meltdown of this past weekend, with the violation of all diplomatic and decency norms, esp the mockery of Islam, stripped away all veneer of civilization from the realization of the monumental ‘fuckery’ of the position 47 has got himself into. And in turn, the world. Inevitably Trump will realize that the tactical aspect of this war (call it what it is) has been hijacked by the most diabolical forces on Earth. As altered as his state of mind has become by the bad choices followed by horrible ones, he is now beginning to realize how little control he has actually had over the course of strategic planning. The threat of nuclear holocaust alluded to over the course of the last week is the most pathetic position a man of his heart has ever revealed so quickly. His pride has been damaged in ways that history will detail in the torrent of suffering he has unleashed, thinking that there was no match for his ability to negotiate.

The prize of this war is control of the world economy, in 47’s mind tied to the US reserve currency, but as it has been buttressed by control of world oil markets, is also not controllable by the strategic balance of power as he thought it would be. As it was sold it would be.

So it goes to the goals of the economic forum as seen by Israel with the assistance of the Gigantor guerrilla grunt, the US military. What makes the whole scene so pathetic is that all the drama and chair shuffling does nothing to stop completion of the painting with Trump as the modern King Lear. Described as sleep-deprived and otherwise altered in practical reality, Trump has become the very definition of the loser that he so excoriates.

For those of us who thought we could place extraordinary faith in what this man promised America to be, great again, we now find ourselves looking up to the promise of what we can accomplish with Israel the State. Which at this moment is starting off from a new foundation, which is built on sand. Sand of greed.

Trump has been the most daring and precocious president we have ever had. But he is also the most culpable to control because of his own self estimate. His criteria for loyalty and wisdom do not add up as one would hope for a position of this much power. When I hear him joke around about someone being out of ‘central casting’, I cringe, just as I am sure the object of his critique is cringing. If only he could take JD-VP more into confidence and truly respect the differentials of perspective, it just seems that life could be so much better. And

If he could only see that Bibi is the nemesis of America First, the very demon that would possess the whole American civilization, and run it over the cliff into oblivion. Instead he has pretended that he could trust the crime boss, the fugitive from Justice who operates like a king of divine right, through raw power, borrowed power with no intention of paying back.

Keep JD. Keep Bobbie. Keep Tulsi. Rubio should stay, but put him in charge of restricting Bibi and the Israeli mob.

At this point, it’s not just about saving face. It’s about survival, and retrieval. Get some good rest

The Relationship Between War & Diplomacy

Warfare can only be effective and accomplish political objectives when it is accompanied by diplomacy.

Dr. Paul Alexander's avatar

Leake: "Our politicians claim that diplomatic relations aren’t possible with our adversaries because, they say, our adversaries are subhuman and depraved. Increasingly, this strikes me as psychological projection. Many of our leaders remind me of accounts of jealous men and women who are themselves inclined to infidelity.

The European heads of state refuse to speak with Vladimir Putin. Now, in the latest war against Iran, we hear Christian Zionist fanatics— in the grip of eschatological fantasies—proclaiming that we cannot negotiate with the Iranians because they are Islamic religious fanatics.

And yet, when we watch interviews of Vladimir Putin or Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, we are presented with men who seem for more calm, composed, reasonable, and articulate than their counterparts in the West. They also comport themselves with far more dignity and decorum."

Robert C's avatar

Of course they are calm and composed. They hold firm to their agenda, feel they have the upper hand. Don't strike until you have the upper hand, in the Quran. They have control of the straight and thousands of missiles. Russia has lots of weapons too. Seems it boils down to how many bombs you have.

Dr. Paul Alexander's avatar

we have this war being led on our part by bureaucrats, technocrats, plutocrats, kleptocrats, and kakistocrats. so as you see, sheer catastrophe!

Dr. Paul Alexander's avatar

the pure kakistocracy exemplified by the Trump cabinet is breath taking...pure ineptness.

Trump assembled this bunch of traitors and you still exonerate Trump as he was "misled". Only a total dope would be misled over and over and over.....

Dr. Paul Alexander's avatar

hhhmmm....who is the dope, Trump or I?

AwakeNotWoke's avatar

This is much worse than the 2 bimbos, Paul. POTUS needs to dissociate himself from Hegseth now. Democrats are already talking about sending POTUS Trump, Hegseth and Rubio to The Hague. POTUS needs to cover his ass. Only reservation they have is that all of the surviving POTUS and many before them have arguably also committed war crimes. The US does not need to join the ICC for the Dems to agree to send POTUS.

Dr. Paul Alexander's avatar

he does need to cover himself...this can get bad re Hague et al. we have lost our alliances in Europe. we cannot do this alone. I dont want them send Trump to ICC. others but not he

michael janket's avatar

The other Presidents did not take glee in foisting genocide onto the Palestinians.Trump loves to see and hear the latest casualty figures from Gaza. But, "he's a good man".

Anthony Tasker's avatar

The Iranians i know along with literally at least hundreds of "protesters" who go down town to the art gallery where i live in Vancouver city every single Saturday ,,waving Trump signs and are very approachable are praying that Trump does not stop until the fundamentalist Islammist government is severely crippled and the people can go outside and hopefully take back their country ... If they let on that they want their government to change they will be shot as quickly as the 40,000 other protesters were shot

Sorry, Pete is staying. Maybe, you should stop spreading rumors. I said that we talked to a high military combat official. The Troops love Pete. Too bad for you. Who are you going after next?

Dr. Paul Alexander's avatar

muah, relax....the beauty about this life still is we each get an opinion and to defend it if you wish.

Lynn's avatar

I already did. Do you have a REAL job?

Paul Frohlich's avatar

Those guys do not mind to have a nuclear armed fanatic Islamists of the worst kind. Bravo to Trump to have the courage to stop them. Only chickins want diplomacy, that is useless with Islamo -Nazis. Just as it was to give Iran billions so theay can develop missiles and nukes, and the creep is not hung for that treason.

Did you know that creep and michael along GW and Laura Bush are the

Co-Chairs for the 250 Celebration of the USA in DC. Who decided that?

What a disgrace. The hater of America that destroyed the USA for

" ... [Trump] remains the best option among a shallow, non-existent bench ..."

.

Two points: (1) The "best" option? "Best"? Okay, let's agree that Trump is unquestionably the "best" weapon that the Globalist Cabal has against our country and the rest of the world.

(2) "... a shallow, non-existent bench"? Absolutely not! There's a *HUGE* bench -- a limitless supply of psycho-megalomaniacs frothing at the mouth to hold the Ring of Power. Here are a few:

** JD "Palantir Surveillance State" Vance. Yeah, he'd be a "perfect" successor to the Donald.

** Mike "Mega-Globalist Puppet" Johnson. No better Cabal order-follower than ol' Mikey.

** How about changing the rules and giving the great Barack "Nobel Peace Prize" Obama another term? We all remember how "exceptionally good" Obama was for our country, right?

** Oh, and it's high time for Hillary "what does it matter" Clinton to plant her butt in the Oval Office.

Again, the list of Globalist psycho-monsters to replace Donald Trump is literally endless - certainly no shortage of them ... that stinking "bench" is a mile long!

Thus, our problem isn't the size of that "bench". Our REAL problem is that there is *ZERO* bench of genuinely **GOOD** candidates - good for the USA, good for Americans, and good for the world.

Should DJT be ousted from the White House - as is being mentioned more and more these days - we will be given yet another Globalist servant to lead us into hell. **THAT** is our problem!

michael janket's avatar

Narcissists like Trump never take the blame for anything. He's going to can Pathetic Pete and not include himself regarding scads of war crimes committed under POTUS' watch??? Are you serious?

Trump is a "good man"? You fail to look back on his many crimes and transgressions yet you say he is a good man??

The White House announced Wednesday that Vance will lead a U.S. delegation to Pakistan for the first round of peace talks with Iran — the highest-level meeting between the two nations since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

“The first round of those talks will take place on Saturday morning local time, and we know we look forward to those in-person meetings,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said.

Special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will join Vance.

“If the Iranians are willing, in good faith, to work with us, I think we can make an agreement,” Vance said Wednesday. “If they’re not, they’re going to find out that President Trump means what he says.”

Clearly the Iranians are stalling, regrouping. Continuing to build more missiles, more launch sites.

President Trump is already looking beyond the ceasefire.

On Wednesday, Trump laid out his vision for the post-war Middle East.

On Iran’s nuclear program, Trump said: “There will be no enrichment of Uranium, and the United States will, working with Iran, dig up and remove all of the deeply buried Nuclear ‘Dust.’”

On the Strait of Hormuz: Trump floated a “joint venture” with Iran to charge tolls on ships passing through the waterway. “We’re thinking of doing it as a joint venture. It’s a way of securing it,” Trump told ABC News.

Trump is still not getting it. They are shmoozing him, stalling. A big mistake again.

Margaret Shattuck's avatar

Yep. They are totally schmoozing Trump, and his gigantic ego won't let him see that.

And to send in JD Vance, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, is to send in the enemy of OUR people. Vance is a Big Tech and Big Pharma owned puppet, and both Witkoff and Kushner are just big real estate moguls, who'll do anything for a big money deal, and also Witkoff is beholden to Qatar, the head of the snake in the Middle East. They bought his way out of a bad real estate deal, so they OWN him. So essentially, Trump is just SENDING IN THE CLOWNS!!!! What a frigging EMBARRASSMENT!

Margaret Shattuck's avatar

BS! Hindsight is always 20/20. If Trump is really saying these things, then he's doing it to cover his own ass. He's the Commander in Chief, and if he can't pick the right people, and make the right decisions, to begin with, then he doesn't belong in the WH. He needs to be removed.

Trump is the one who sends out those heinous Truth Social posts at 5 AM. Nobody else tells him to do that. The guy is unhinged, and he needs to go. I don't give a crap what he says now, he caused this mess, and he needs to own up to that.

Dr Robert Spencer studies Islam. Puts out Jihad Watch. https://jihadwatch.org/2026/04/oh-great-peace-in-the-middle-east-again ... "Maybe the Islamic Republic will now stop attacking Israel and other countries in the region. Or maybe the weakened regime’s surviving leaders will take a lesson from Trump’s inaction after Hamas repeatedly violated the ceasefire in Gaza, and from the indifference of previous American administrations to its flouting of all manner of agreements, including the vaunted Obama nuclear deal.

The Iranian Islamic regime, meanwhile, is presenting the agreement as an American surrender and acceptance of its nuclear program. The dissident Iranian news source Iran International reports that “Iran’s Farsi-language version of its ceasefire proposal includes ‘acceptance of enrichment,’ a provision not present in English versions, the Associated Press reported on Tuesday, highlighting discrepancies in how Tehran is presenting its terms.”

"If the Islamic Republic of Iran remains in power, it will build up its strength again and then resume its jihad against Israel and the U.S. That’s one of the only two reasons truces are allowed in Islamic law: one is if the Infidel enemy converts to Islam, which is not in play here, and the other is if the enemy is winning, so as to give the warriors of jihad time to regroup and then fight again more effectively.

"The Trump administration, like so many others before it, should have studied Islam and realized that the Islamic Republic is serious about Islam above all. Then it would have known that when the Islamic Republic’s leaders showed a willingness to conclude a ceasefire, they were tacitly admitting that they were losing. It was time to press forward to final victory, not to stop fighting. And so another opportunity to rid the world of a jihad threat is lost, another chimera of peace is announced, and the jihadis will rejoice that they have survived to fight another day, as yet another Western government has kicked the can down the road instead of defeating them."

Robert C's avatar

So we discovered some weaknesses with our jets? Good. And we discovered some strengths of the Iranians we did not know about. Good too. And they have a lot more missiles than we thought. Their strategy is to beat in numbers. So if they are left alone, they make thousands more missiles, drones, etc, sell to Russians, use against Israel and who knows where else, funding their terrorist Islamic groups. Seems to me this needs to be stopped, the sooner the better. Why can't we knock out their missile launch sites? They are well hidden evidently. They must have thousands of portable missiles. Can't afford to spend 1 million per their missile to knock out. Between Israel and US we ought to be able to stop them. Their economy is about gone. May have to starve them out. They are like barbarians. But they have to be stopped and it should have been done long ago.

Scriptures state that there will wars and rumors of wars as a sign of the end times. Many other signs have been revealed. They also state that when people say that there is peace and security that all hell will break loose and then will come sudden destruction. The scriptures have a 100% perfect record of prophecies being true.

It is fortunate that the ovomit or the biDUMB are not POTUS.
