Afterwards I spent more than two decades in China, witnessing the modernization history of Shanghai. The funny thing was the respect and admiration of US model, the willingness to learn English, to study abroad. It was a surprise for me to see how much respect many Chinese nationals had for US Constitution and values. When I moved in here I kind of was surprised… I am refraining from political comments and opinions. As I say, there are things around what I already seen and lived in my native country, sadly.
