I am talking here about ‘this’ COVID virus. The response would be different depending and I am talking about a virus with an IFR of 0.15% all ages, 0.05% <70 years old and approaching zero for children.
You leave society open with as little touch by government, making reasonable sensible decisions and precautions, no lockdowns, we never ever lock down the ‘well’ and healthy…ever…no masks as they are worthless, are ineffective and even very toxic and harmful…no restrictions. Look what we did, the illogical, irrational, unscientific, absurd steps where we locked down the ‘well’ and still failed to protect the elderly…we did everything upside down and wrong! courtesy of FAUCI and BIRX.
You take precautions in your private homes and you protect your parents, your elderly, your loved ones. It is not the government’s role and you can. You are well capable. Look what was done by these ‘inept’ hysterical people. They locked the society down complete and killed thousands from the closures. Why would you lock down the healthy and well in a society who are the ones you needed immunologically to safeguard the vulnerable? Tens of thousands died ‘not’ from virus. Little children could not make it, they could not hold on, it was hallowing for them. We had American young persons 18-24 years in June/July 2020 reporting that 1 in 4 (25%) were seriously considering suicide. From the lockdowns, not the virus, and I am referring to the persons who attend College and University in the US, the very strongest and healthiest.
You ensure same is done in our nursing homes whom have failed (still do today) to properly secure our elderly and it has been the ‘killing fields’ in our nursing homes and congregated settings. Once we protect the vulnerable FIRST, you allow our healthy infants and children and young persons to live life free and reasonably normal, to ‘naturally ‘ and ‘harmlessly’ be exposed and be infected…you may not like how I state it but there is no other way to say it…this is not being reckless, for what I am doing here is balancing the benefits and the harms of the actions/policies. They are at such low risk, that by locking them down and closing schools, you cause more harm than the low risk pathogen to them. In Las Vegas as an example, schools had to be re-opened due to the suicides from the lockdowns. We must always take a ‘balanced’ age-risk stratified approach to these policies and not carte blanche application. There are crushing harms from these closure policies, especially if you do not conduct cost-benefit analyses to assess the costs and benefits from alternative courses of action.
Yes, in the first 2-3 weeks spring 2020 I agree we had to constrain things to better understand and wrap our arms around this pathogen and the epidemiology and at-risk group (s). But by the end of April/May 2020 we knew all we needed to know about who was the high-risk group and even how to manage it and we knew of early drug treatment working to dramatically reduce the risk of hospitalization and death. But we did not use any of it. We had craven lockdown lunatics driving this with their ‘zero COVID’ and ‘no COVID’ and ‘stop COVID at all costs’ which was illogical and irrational and nonsensical, and as it turned out, devastating. You/they/we will never be able to ‘lockdown’ our way out of this just the same as we can never ever vaccinate our way out of this with a non-sterilizing, non-neutralizing vaccine that is working to drive the emergence of variants.
Allowing our children natural and harmless exposure as part of normal daily life, with this pathogen, this variant (s) and based on all we know, for 22 months now, is the best gift to them for they have the immune system (innate and acquired but mainly innate) that can effectively handle this pathogen easily and they will recover (with likely no symptoms) and will do very fine…healthy children…as a result, they will have life-long bullet proof immunity…to all variants…allow your children to live free and unfettered and to be infected, harmlessly and naturally…and again based on all we know, this is the best move possible…we damage their fully functioning well immune systems by masks and lockdowns and school closures. I was pilloried for saying this in early 2020 but I stand by it.
The immune system is so rigorous and fascinating, as an example, we know that:
just be being exposed to someone who is infected and you not infected, you can derive a cellular immune response, T cell immunity
we know where households with children in them have far less infection than homes with no children…children protect the home with their immune systems
By closing schools we caused many deaths in the elderly…how? this is a hypothesis I had and shared and it goes like this…kids drive flu and colds home but not COVID…so in schools kids get 4 colds per year average…they get infected, take it home…parents and grand parents then get infected from them and recover from the benign cold…but the cold is a coronavirus…and cross protects cross-reacts with COVID virus…so granny could be exposed to COVID virus but her immune system would be taxed and tuned up and repeatedly boosted by children bringing colds home…and she getting sick and recovering and building immunity each time…she in effect is protected from COVID virus cross protected when it comes knocking. Closing schools for children caused deaths in the elderly.
They knew those points. That is, was, why they imposed those measures. Notice the measures are attempting to reverse those natural protections.
