Preliminary assessment of the clinical severity of the SARS-CoV-2 'Omicron' variant in South Africa; pre-print study points to reduced risk of hospitalization and reduced risk of severe disease
If you did not take the shot yet or took and thinking about BOOSTER or vaccinating your child, based on the data now available on the failed vaccine and harms from it, then I would say you are INSANE
As I said 3 weeks ago, this was much ado about nothing, this was Fauci and CDC and media lying to you in your face to drive vaccination, folks, COVID has been over a while now, start living your life…it is way past time…turn off CNN and FOX, all of them, shut it off and trust yourself…they will never let you out of the booster madness if you start…stop it!
here is the actual abstract for your perusal…bottom line: 80% less likely to require hospitalization once infected, and even once in the hospital were 70% less likely to develop severe illness than did someone with the delta variant.

On multivariable analysis, after controlling for factors associated with hospitalization, individuals with SGTF infection had lower odds of being admitted to hospital compared to non-SGTF infections (adjusted odds ratio (aOR) 0.2, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.1-0.3). Among hospitalized individuals, after controlling for factors associated with severe disease, the odds of severe disease did not differ between SGTF-infected individuals compared to non-SGTF individuals diagnosed during the same time period (aOR 0.7, 95% CI 0.3-1.4). Compared to earlier Delta infections, after controlling for factors associated with severe disease, SGTF-infected individuals had a lower odds of severe disease (aOR 0.3, 95% CI 0.2-0.6). Conclusion Early analyses suggest a reduced risk of hospitalization among SGTF-infected individuals when compared to non-SGTF infected individuals in the same time period, and a reduced risk of severe disease when compared to earlier Delta-infected individuals.
