Reports are that Chinese hospitals are at a breaking point as new pneumonia strain causes 24/7 queues; the CDC & US health officials are AWOL thus far on this reported pneumonia; why is this? Reports

are that desperate parents clutch children hooked to IVs on hospital floors as China’s mystery ‘pneumonia’ outbreak worsens; What does the WHO know? what is causing it? Lockdowns? Damaged immunity?

Is this a novel pathogen and pneumonia? Is this existing pathogen yet facing lungs and immune systems battered by prolonged lockdowns? And so children find themselves now fully vulnerable?? Do not discount the impact of prolonged lockdowns on subverting the immune systems of children. These Chinese children.

Is this gain-of-function research too? Are we loons to ask this given COVID?

No doubt we have to monitor this closely while at the same time careful not to over-react given China, WHO, even US’s sub-optimal and abysmal and failed response to COVID. Yet it is prudent to be acutely enough aware and begin thinking ahead and planning just in cases children in US show symptoms. Which existing drugs could work? Safe? Effective? Which antibiotics could work optimally? Do we have? Enough should this be credible and widespread in North America should it come. What options? Is this bogus? Can it be? COVID has revealed we trust nothing anymore from governments yet can we dismiss this?

That is, we need as much information to then be able to plan testing and drugs. In children in US should we experience an upsurge in such pneumonia like symptoms. Do we have medications to handle this? I am very skeptical on any reports out of China yet we would be wrong to dismiss. What we do need is firm, clear, full reporting by China yet as we have seen, this is DOA. China gives only what China wants to give and even then, that is likely bogus and biased.

So we listen, read, ask and try to understand what is happening there. Planning for what could happen here.

We in America, Canada etc. need to think now about how serious this is (or could be) and what do we have in place to handle this or need to put in place. Is PHAC and Health Canada doing the typical navel gazing, pulling flint from between their toes, the employees? Same at CDC & NIH and even FDA?

No strong or leadership statements thus far by any western officials e.g. CDC officials etc. Let us see.

Footage taken outside Beijing Children's Hospital showed long queues of parents waiting to have their kids seen, with waiting times surpassing 24 hours.

In a clip shared on X, formerly Twitter, masked-up parents can be seen lining up outside the building, their children in tow as they wait to be registered.

Local account Sounds of Hope accompanied the video with the caption: "There is a long queue outside the main entrance of Beijing Children's Hospital.
