I’m in my late 50’s. I’ve lived in 8 different states, participated in competitive sports for much of my life, and worked in Motocross (a high risk sport) during high school. Until 2021, I’ve known, personally, or through acquaintences, only 4 people under the age of 21 that have died - 2 car accidents, 1 motorcycle accident, 1 luekemia.
Since 2021, I personally know of at least 6 under 21, healthy individuals, that have died for no apparent reason. And yet I hear, “It’s always happened, you just didn’t notice or pay attention.” That’s the kknd of denial, idiocy, and outright complicity we’re dealing with.
