I feel so sorry for these parents as pediatricians put so much pressure on parents to give all these shots to these precious little ones. The parents don’t realize doctors are not God and they don’t have to do anything they say. They have the authority to say no to all these shots. When my daughter was interviewing pediatricians for her first child, she asked if she could simply spread the shots out over multiple visits instead of taking so many at once. I agree with you Joey, but when the decision is not yours to make, all you can do is provide information, and try your best to nudge them in the right direction. When all the doctors, regulatory agencies, publications are all saying “safe and effective” and you are the voice in the wilderness, it takes time to turn the ship in a different direction. At that point it is compromise and mitigate damages. That is when risk / reward conversation starts and stop or delay the more dangerous shots without much benefit and avoid multiple shots in one visit takes place.
