Asia HBV incidence is vastly different than USA. Asia is endemic. USA is not. Overwhelming HBV prevelance in USA is within the already high risk Asian immigrant populations. Even then USA prevelance is 1% or less. Actual USA pernatal transmission in non-high risk (high endemic) pregnancies is almost non-existent. Risks from HBV vaccination in newborns are definitely not zero. The fact that ACIP is recommending an individualized approach (aka informed consent within the appropriate high risk clinical context) is actually practicing medicine as opposed to simply jabbing every newborn out of simple clinical laziness. ACIP didnt recommend NOT ever to give the HBV vaccine to newborns. Providing a medical intervention within the correct clinical context and with support of pertinent data is actually practicing medicine. I do not know what to name it if medical interventions are performed otherwise.

So I'm reserving judgment on that for now in terms of actually pulling the jabs. When it comes to injunctions, which you know the Dems already have some lined up with instructions, the good guys need the case airtight so as to get a quick Appeals reversal of a lower injunction. It would be nice if they picked a venue where they have ironclad jab injury, and in a red state district, and a good Circuit. They should coordinate with Paxton in TX.
The ideal solution is we get representatives and senators that have actual functioning "pairs" and do the right thing and pass legislation a la a Civil Rights Act, but for Medical Rights. Since we all know that won't happen, we are left to do the medical version of what Trump is doing with his other EO's. Things that are good, but can be reversed. It is why 2026 will be important for solidifying Trump's successor, and have that (Vance?) person say he will continue, and in some cases expand even further the actions by Trump (something to 'motivate' Congress that if they don't pass A & B permanently, that via EO's Trump's successor will EO for A and B again, and also add in C & D. (Has to be something painful to the recalcitrants in Congress.).
I know Trump will be out on the campaign trail for some congressmen next year, but I and others were recommending this year he should have had hour-long speech and Q&A on specific topics in Prime Time every couple months. Not wait until the State of the Union. The SOU is more theater. Hopefully they get smarter in the new year.
