I just watched JD's interview with CNN and, compared to Donald Trump at the Black Teachers' Convention, I think JD is the smoother non-alienating one! JD fielded all the questions about his "mistakes" from the CNN host's biased, unfriendly questions, without losing his cool or talking against her personally, unlike Donald Trump with that first aggressive interviewer on the teachers' convention stage. JD Vance comes across as "not to be messed with" but he also refrains from messing with them, unlike Trump who resorted to making snide remarks about the poor audio system, and the fact that the meeting was late getting started and, of all things kept Him waiting! Dr. Alexander has been making various statements over the year about Trump being mislead by these various people and organizations as I mentioned above. I personally don't think that it is a very credible defense. It rather shows a picture of a very naive leader who could not make good on his promise to "drain the swamp".
