It would be foolish to forget that the mean IQ of the North Korean Communists vastly exceeds the mean IQ of Americans, which gives them a considerable advantage in terms of their ability to withstand negative sanctions and still make progress in their weapons development. North Korea has a Museum of American War Atrocities where they showcase what the US did to their people prior to the armistice with South Korea and its allies.

North Korea knows that the US only ever attacks weak nations and has NEVER overtly attacked a nation that has WMD, other than in its proxy wars.

North Korea saw what happened to Iraq and Libya after they abandoned their WMD programs.

Thay know that the US knew Saddam had no WMD at the time of the invasion of Iraq and subsequent butchering by the Butcher of Baghdad (GW Bush) and the US of up to nearly a million infants, children, women and other mainly civilian Iraqis (according to an epidemiological study published in The Lancet, back when it was still a reputable journal).

North Korea knows that the US is a nation of low IQ, sadistic, narcissistic psychopaths.

After seeing what the US just did to Iran, North Korea will never abandon its nuclear weapons or ICBM programs.

North Korea's multi-stage missile delivery system is considered advanced, particularly in its development of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs).

North Korea has been working for a long time on on Multiple Independently Targetable Reentry Vehicles (MIRVs) for its missiles, potentially allowing a single missile to strike multiple targets.

It claims to have miniaturized nuclear warheads that can be fitted onto missiles. Although this is still debated by international experts, the claim has to be taken seriously.

I have a great idea about nuclear non-proliferation. All nations with nukes should launch them simultaneously at each other and wait for Big Bang 2. See, no more nukes to worry about forever.
