This is a very sad state of affairs. I was talking to a couple of friends, (NYC) and having a conversation about Critical Race Theory , how it divides Americans when racism is OK if equity can be achieved by discrimination, paraphrasing here, and the next day when I saw her I said hello and she just continued walking. End of Friendship. Good riddance.
People have no self-control and dignity, and they are not shamed by the Media and others. It is too common place because, oh well, he made me mad. Baloney. Too, quickly Holly Bok, says "we don't know what was said." It doesn't matter what was said. Too many are not raised with the right values. Everybody defends their kids rude behavior today. It starts small and escalates. I don't care if the old man was obnoxious as hell, the employee should rise above it. I am 68, and raised to know two wrongs don't make a right, and taught to respect elders and others. We used to say yes ma'am/sir, etc.
PA, this attacker definitely has some control & anger issues. He definitely needs to be punished harshly. Folks, teach your kids they can't get away with bad behavior. Teach the kids manners & self control.

Why did he hit him ??? Because the employee was taught that that is the way to resolve conflict , because if you don’t like something or someone then you lash out and hurt or kill them . If people get between you and what you want , you destroy them . Yes , he is to blame but so are all those who made him this way - parents , teachers & families failed him along the way .
