‘Today’ host Craig Melvin says Will Smith’s Oscar incident is harmful to men of color: ‘It was troubling’
“With a single petulant blow, he advocated violence, diminished women, insulted the entertainment industry, and perpetuated stereotypes about the Black community,” Abdul-Jabbar writes of Smith, echoing the opinion expressed on Monday by Today host Craig Melvin that it was "troubling on so many levels" for men of color.
And I dont like at times the politics of Kareem but he is on the money and I wanted to share and huge praise for the balls he has shown:
It has since come out that Pfizer was a sponsor of the Oscars, and that Pfizer has a new alopecia drug coming out, leading me to conclude that the stunt was staged by Pfizer, and I'd assume Will Smith, wife Jada, and even Rock got paid handsomely for it. Half of America took to Google right after to look up Jada's bald look and were immediately informed that she suffers from--you guessed it--alopecia. Pfizer once again creating a market for their latest products...
Not only did it illustrate black on black violence it also illustrated toxic black women’s instigation of black on black violence.
