These are the very best of us, our police too; they cannot do it on their own, its hard to reach out often so we have to 'understand'; https://www.americaswarriorpartnership.org/; 1-866-AWPVETS
I still remember the first year being the hardest. The only time I can remember when thoughts like suicide were so pervasive. Transitioning in is a busy, exciting time. Transitioning out is like being dropped off on a deserted island, with no plan.
The only time I was suicidal was when I took Chantix. The now pulled- from -market- for -cancer -causing -agents…. Went away as soon as I stopped taking it. ( the side effects doctor expects people to tolerate is unimaginable . Usually told “ we have a med for that side effect “)
Yes! Doesn't that make you nuts? Dr.: Oh, that's a side effect of (whatever they prescribed). We can treat that with (what they now want to prescribe to "control" the side effect). --- I asked my doctor, "Don't you think it's a little ridiculous to treat a side effect of a drug, with a drug?" He wasn't pleased that I noticed, but he did hesitantly agree.
Years ago I needed help with ptsd from an abusive marriage. Everything the counselors knew had come from our veterans! Just another thing to be thankful for because of their sacrifices . I spend a lot of time with Vietnam vets at vfw 10100. So much untreated ptsd. Many are there drinking to help manage, even after all these years.( I’ve got a few to take vit b12 under tongue and good quality vit d, it’s helping or they’d stop taking it. Lots of ptsd folks have adrenal insufficiency/ exhaustion & if it’s never addressed, just gets worse. & told its emotional. Nothing about the physical damage of ptsd! Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone.
Most general counselors know nothing about PTSD/cPTSD and therefore it doesn't get treated at all. You're on your own. --- I understand your cPTSD. I'm sorry you have had to deal with it.
This shouldn't be. We have too many who need help and can't get it. they either feel helpless or have given up all together. If it weren't already hard enough to get at risk veterans to help, this administration (because we don't actually have a president) has destroyed their chances. So it's up to us. Help where we can to do the greatest good. I lost 2 close friends, veterans who took their lives. Help didn't get there in time. One had just started treatment for PTSD and the other kept his pain a secret.

Yes. They need help. Except the resident is too busy pushing boys in girl's bathrooms. Disgusting.

Bravo! What a great "gotcha".
Picture me bowing. 😉
Thanks, love it. STRIKE!
All caused by the indiscriminate use of psych drugs. See https://robertyoho.substack.com/p/antidepressants-are-the-root-cause?s=w#details
Thank you for your great article, however, why were they seeking help in the first place? You don’t just wake up one morning and decide to do drugs.
They get hustled into it by psychiatrists. They have nearly 20 percent of the populace on psych drugs, a failure. See https://robertyoho.substack.com/p/101-ben-bathen-tells-how-he-was-butchered?s=w#details
For an extreme example. The shrinks pass this stuff out like jelly beans. All their “standards” were manufactured by doctors in the pay of Pharma
Agree. Big harma are worse than illegal drug dealers. Illegal drug dealers don’t coerce and mislead.
I met a vet that had spent 14 years in Afghanistan. He had his support dog with him.
Yes!
22 actually. Can't imagine that the number has decreased unfortunately.
22 Vets a day are lost

Thank you. All the men in my family were Vets, from the Civil War to Desert Storm. No young ones now.
It’s almost as if being trained in violence to kill other humans (let alone actually having to do it) is psychologically damaging!
Thanks. Important!
