i'm so grateful every day that i spent my father's last few years by his side and he passed away 6 weeks before his 96th birthday in his bed at home. i was there and didn't even realize that he was gone until i did. i had just tucked him in for the night.
i can't imagine the grief and guilt of all those who's loved ones died tortured and alone, not able to have proper funerals or memorials, not able to say goodbye. will they ever get over it? i hope they can channel their rage and use it against those who forced them in that untenable position
