What is the screening process and want drives the parents to want to offer up their precious newborn for such an experiment? What laws exist to protect the child, or protect the parent, or protect the drug company, should events go badly? What is the compensation/reward for taking part? What is the compensation for the child dying? The question this leaves us all with, I guess, is what kind of construct of humanity are we in where we allow such evil in the name of science?
