There will be massive shortages in all professions... it will be much tougher to replace doctors and airline pilots due to the time it takes to educate new ones.
Look at various professional societies, in the legal world or in law enforcement, how many people go against the majority?
How many are willing to risk censure, loss of license, disbarment or other lifelong punishments?
Considering the amount of time and financial investment to become a doctor how many of them are willing to put ideals ahead of that kind of investment?
Some younger doctors still take years to pay off their debts from their student days.
In some cultures becoming a doctor is the pinnacle of social upward mobility how many people are going risk that status to go against the narrative?
