For years my mom tried pushing happy pills on me. She didn't have a reason and I didn't give her one, I just wasn't 'happy' enough for her liking. I tell everyone who tries pushing meds on me is that I prefer to deal with reality and trust God with all of it, not man.
If 80% of the population can't make it through life without psych meds, maybe it's time to admit that the society we've created isn't working, rather than putting everyone on drugs to make it work.
Yeah, I have to wonder if that's part of the reason we haven't seen a mass uprising over the COVID vaccine deaths and disabilities, at least not yet. You would think more people who have lost loved ones would be raising hell and demanding justice. Could psych meds help explain why we see so much apathy when one might expect more outrage?
Lots of reality in your statement. Problem is, for the statistically small subset of the population pulling the strings things are working great. At everyone else’s expense.
Then it falls to each of us to withdraw consent and build a parallel society that better suits our needs. For instance, if your kid is struggling in school, instead of putting them on antidepressants or stimulants maybe what they really need is to be homeschooled.
It comes from a very ancient democracy, you see...
You mean, it comes from a world of lizards?
No, said Ford, who by this time was a little more rational and coherent than he had been, having finally had the coffee forced down him, nothing so simple. Nothing anything so straightforward.
On its world, the people are people. The leaders are lizards. The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people.
Odd, said Arthur, I thought you said it was a democracy?
I did, said Ford. It is.
So, said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, why don't people get rid of the lizards?
It honestly doesn't occur to them, said Ford. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates to the government they want.
You mean they actually vote for the lizards?
Oh yes, said Ford with a shrug, of course.
But, said Arthur, going for the big one again, why?
Because, said Ford, if they didn't vote for a lizard, the wrong lizard might get in.

Something tells me that the Amish aren't seeing that 80% number. They have a strong spiritual-based community which provides support, especially during the times life throws "curveballs" one's way. Most of them didn't fall for the Scamdemic either and remained jab free. Not having tv's is pretty powerful naturopathic "medicine". Avoiding the "brought to you by Pfizer" ads.
Yes I took a half life antidepressant prescribed for my fibromyalgia pain for one year over twenty years ago and it negatively affected me for probably ten years after I stopped talking it .
I dispensed so much dope over my 38 years of pharmacy that I didn't believe in any of it.
I used to say to the new patients on SSRIs that you will be fine, just as soon as you decided to get off this stuff. Yeah, I can see the need for Diazepam or Hydrocodone or any one of 100's of other meds but to take something that is addicting without making you "high" is absurd.
That resulted in 20% of the prescriptions being tore up right there, the other 80% decided to take their chances with the "dope."
I was not popular with the drug reps, but I had outstanding popularity among the patients.
I also wasn't popular with the DEA, but the closest they came wasn't really close at all.
The new way of work is a class of people that are capable of doing the work needed, yet will not question or rebel. Being elderly or disabled is a liability to them, therefore you are disposable.
That’s ok, they’re legalizing pot everywhere to compliment the psychosis induced by the overconsumption of psychotropic medications. What could possibly go wrong? The zombie apocalypse has begun.
Thank you Turdo for legalizing pot.Now no one wants to work either. Oh but while Canadian Tire and Dollarama were partly closed and all restaurants closed during covid, legal maryjane and alcohol shops were open and thriving. I'm working downtown Montreal. I can assure you every street corner smells of marijuana smoke.
I have problems with they way pot is being legalized. But before I’m steamrolled by advocates I will express for crystal clarity I do not give a shit if you want to get high on marijuana. Just be fking honest for a change.
1) Admit that todays pot ain’t like the pot of the 1970s. It’s been altered for sky high THC content never intended by Mother Nature. So stop acting like it’s natural. It isn’t.
2) Stop with the incessant whining that your pot is safer than alcohol. There’s so much wrong with that statement it’s stunning that anyone buys it.
Like most people I typically have a beer with certain foods. My wife might have a glass of wine. No effects felt. We are not drinking to get drunk.
The sole purpose for ingesting pot is to feel its effects. Nobody is smoking weed to compliment a meal or for the refreshing taste.
So the weed to alcohol comparison is only rational in the context of doing each of them solely for the physiological and psychological effect. Drunk vs high. Weed advocates are saying they’re better off high than drunk. But let’s be honest here. Most people are doing both and you know it.
So just say it already, you’re using false equivalencies because you want to get high. Drunk is a bonus.
3) And for Pete’s sake stop with the medicinal benefits. While some of that may be true it’s an eentsy subset of users. You’re using that excuse like rape and incest is used to justify snuffing out the inconvenience of having a child. It’s an irrelevant statement in the context of the rationale by the vast majority who, admit it, just wanna get high. So, just stop.
Again, I’ll point out, if you want to go through life high as a kite, more power to you!
4) Except, and I cannot emphasize this enough, I don’t want to smell your shitty weed smoke wafting into my space. Nor should anyone have to explain to their child what that smell is.
If you don’t have the manners to eat your Scooby snacks and spare people from your second hand smoke then the onlookers you’re abusing should have no problem introducing their fist to your face. Just sayin.
In summation if you want to go through life high as a kite, that’s your business. Not being subjected to your business is everyone else’s business. I’m sure that in time despite the myriad of claimed benefits studies will show the corrosive effects recreational pot bestows upon society. But by then we’ll be stuck with it.
Just be honest about why you use it, keep it to yourself and we’ll get along just fine. Until, of course your THC addled brain starts screwing up the infrastructure and it winds up hurting people. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
Well said. Personnally, I haven't seen a sane family or couple while one or more are using pot or excessive alcohol. This said, there seems to be benefits from cannabis isolated ingredients for pain and inflammation. I'm not using it myself though. Legalizing a drug is never a good idea.
Again, I’m not debating it’s medicinal benefits. What I am debating is using that as a platform to excuse recreational use, which is what the overwhelming majority use it for.
Great, their plan is working so well! Pharmacea has taken over our kids and older folks have severe mental issues exponentially. isn'it what they wanted all along?
Sadly, psychotropic drugs are prescribed without much discernment by some conscienceless doctors who want patients dependent on these poisons for life. People who become addicted have already given their power away; it’s hard for them to empower themselves and deal with life’s issues. It’s easier for them to maintain the status quo and continue on the never ending self-destructive trip to doctors’s visits and refilling their medications. Sometimes self-empowering therapies work but in most case for these addicts to medications is not an option. The psyche of these individuals have already been eroded by the medications. It’s their road to self-destruction.
I've been mulling going carnivore for the past year, but still haven't tried it yet. However, for the past 2.3 years I've been eating a diet high in animal-based products and very low in net carbs, and I've noticed about a dozen major health improvements. It's so nice to eliminate several chronic health conditions and associated side-effect-inducing medications that barely treated the symptoms.
I'm one of the few who, although very seriously applying the Keto diet did not find great results, but ended up with very high cholesterol figures, did not loose more than 9 pounds over 9 months, and everytime I do, this diet (I get fed up after 9 months increments) end up with a SIBO problem. I'm still trying to figure what went wrong. I think it's the dairy, erythritol once in a while, and too much raw vegetables. I do continue fasting as much as I can.
My ability to handle most dairy products (whole milk, half-and-half, heavy cream...) skyrocketed after I changed my diet. I only eat a very small amount of raw vegetables and would be fine eliminating them from my diet, since they supply so few nutrients and so few calories. I avoid all natural and artificial sweeteners except xylitol mints, which are hazardous to dental-cavity-causing bacteria and dogs.
Regarding cholesterol, I consider the triglyceride/HDL and total/HDL ratios to be far, far more important than the LDL numbers by themselves, which are VERY difficult to interpret.
I like to follow Dr. Ekberg and Dr. Berg on Youtube or their websites, and I think at least one of them recommends carnivore to people susceptible to SIBO.
Disclaimer: I am not a doctor (of human or veterinary medicine), nor do I play one on TV.
Thank you for your feedback. I do follow those 2 doctors, but also am getting into carnivore youtubes. I'm confident eliminating digestive disrupters (which can be very personnal) gives a break for the body to heal.
Yeah, I also watch Drs. Baker, Berry, Chaffee, and OMara. Another really interesting channel is Pottenger's Human.
Indeed, we're all different, and some people fare much better with a little fruit in their diet, even though they are getting massive benefits from being almost pure carnivore.
For years my mom tried pushing happy pills on me. She didn't have a reason and I didn't give her one, I just wasn't 'happy' enough for her liking. I tell everyone who tries pushing meds on me is that I prefer to deal with reality and trust God with all of it, not man.

Yes, I came to the same conclusion after about 2-3 years on the job as a community pharmacist.
Actually, the 80% that takes drugs to make it through the day, doesn't. It just makes them not give a shit, about anything, really.
Well, it's at least one of the reasons.
Not quite...it is all the governments in the world that are not working and that are never going to work.
Evil demonic governments work for Lucifer not the people.

So true!!!!!! super comment!!

The Amish weren’t dying in droves of covid either despite being 99% unvaccinated.

The only medical/mental illness you have is going to the doctor or relying on the modern stone age medical mafia.
The new way of work is a class of people that are capable of doing the work needed, yet will not question or rebel. Being elderly or disabled is a liability to them, therefore you are disposable.
Mental health issues cannot be solved by drugs, whether legal or illegal. It's all spiritual. Return to God is the only way.
If I didn't believe in God and have a relationship with Him, maybe indeed I would need the psycho medication. I dunno.
Me too.
Amen

Mmmmm.... Well, the more I listen/read to what a carnivore diet does, the more I think of making this change. What do you think An Ominous?
