my view is simple, dont burn the US flag and police and guard must guard and protect our flags...and when they deal with violent protestors who put any physical touch on them, then they must be dealt with via force...no pussy footing around any more and those of you who pushed and played and fucked with Trump, best hope he does not win for he is coming for you...as he should using proper law enforcement and proper legal justice and proper courts...but you will be dealt with even retroactive

How do you know that the people burning the flag weren't undercover FBI agents there to make the protesters look bad, like on Jan 6th?

If anyone burns the flag and fights with cops over it: shoot them on sight. If they can kill innocent kids from Kent State, then blow these motherfuckers away.

They should get the same treatment.

Protesting the fact that billions of US tax dollars are being sent to Israel every year is an example of putting America first. Pretending that putting America first is anti-American is delusional and a form of gaslighting. I get the impression that Israel is Dr. Alexander's top priority, and that America comes in at a distant 2nd place.

no, America is my top priority and my police, their safety from BLM and antifa fecal matter, my military is the top priority, border agents are the top priority...

So, let's say that there are a few thousand Americans at a protest who are protesting against spending billions of US tax dollars in the Ukraine, and there are a handful of, likely undercover FBI agents, who burn an American flag at the protest. Would you wish death upon all of people at the protest? If not, why do it when we change the word Ukraine with Israel?

So, in order to defend your idea of democracy, you suggest to kill anyone who doesn't agree with your evaluation of values (the means and ends balance) and historic considerations.

If the people of the world don't respect so much the United States, the only conclusion is that they don't like democracy and they are savages and stupid people - it does not have anything to do with, for example, the absolutely horrible and very long list of unjust and absurd US military interventions around the world for many decades? The people have all the reasons to protest the genocide actually perpetrated by the government of Israël. Many Israeli citizens condemn the actual massacre, don't you know?

A Muslim kill a Jew. We must kill all Muslims? A Jew kill a Muslim. We must kill all the Jews? Violence is not the solution to violence. It never has, it will never be.

USA is not a religion. It's a country. A country deserves respect when it behaves as a whole with dignity and equanimity.

Are you aware that you make the promotion of murder? Incitation to commit murder : it's a crime.

I reported you to Substack. It's no fun anymore.

you are here for a reason, a troll...this is my opinion...do not read my stack or come here...you have your opinion...if my police and my national guard has it in their authority to protect the flag, then they must...dont go burning or desiccating the US flag...its akin to burning the dead soldiers that gave their lives...for the very freedoms you enjoy...so are you good with burning flags? our flag? do you burn our flag?

Goodbye, get out of our Country, who the hell do they think they are …. U.S. citizen or not, get out, leave our Country that we love… They obviously don’t have any respect for America. If they feel that way, then go overseas and do that. Don’t you dare touch our flag!! Right now people in Congress went and hoisted up our American flag and they all stood there with their hands over their heart after the idiots who wrap their heads in those goddamn rags desecrated our American Flag…They didn’t want anybody to see who they were… so they disguise themselves and jump up and down like a bunch of idiots and scream vile hateful things.. I wonder how much they were paid for doing that…or perhaps they are jump on the bandwagon protesters who want to say they were part of a protest.

Look if Montel and Willy’s past girlfriend didn’t show up for Bibi’s speech then she showed how completely unprofessional she was…What a role model she is. Nancy Pelosi as well and a handful of other Dems who are so concerned as to how things look rather than doing what is right…they’re always vying for votes. How will it be perceived? Not to quote Spike Jones but how about “Do the right thing”.

Let me be clear, I am against war and harming people but this kind of behavior never achieves anything… there is such a thing as decorum and none of those people have an ounce of it in them…they think they will reach their goal by rioting in the streets. No it will never ever work.. Peace is a meeting of the minds not violence.

So Gregory Johnson should face the same outcome then?…

While highy disrespectul and in this case very one sided (as they seem to not consider the lives of Israelies that have died due to Hamas), it is protected by the 1st amendment because of the very person mentioned above.

Calling for violence will only beget more violence…

I leave it to law enforcement, our police, our national guard to decide what to do, not you I...and they do not consider the lives of the Israelis who have died...the 100 still underground in caves, the women and girls raped by the medieval beasts...no they dont...the Americans still captive and killed...no they dont...

Burning the flag should be punished by jail or a fine. No need to shoot anyone.

let the law decide that. not you or I. I know when I write certain things I know exactly who will pop up...

The law already decided decades ago that burning the US flag is a form of free speech. This was decided by the Supreme Court in the 1989 case Texas v. Johnson. You can disagree vehemently with this decision, but that is the law. Thus, shooting protestors for exercising their right to free speech would be against the law. I find it troubling that so many conservatives who have been heavily censored themselves are now calling for censorship, criminal charges and even violence towards those with whose speech they disagree. Free speech is for everyone, not just the people you agree with.

The following is a quote often sited with regard to the right to free speech, even when that speech involves burning the US flag:

"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

— Father Dennis Edward O’Brien, USMC

Here’s the thing… I appreciate how you feel BUT in a free society with free speech… we have to endure such indignities. Doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be consequences… not too sure what they should be but I’m sure this group can think of appropriate actions. Pax

I am glad that Americans can continue to have free speech and protest their issues with the US government. I'm not sure that you are for this US Constitutional right of ours.
