As beautiful as Florida is, it faces 4 challenges: 1)ensuring DeSantis regains his gravitas after disastrous mis-step against '45' 2)deadly pythons 3)deadly alligators 4) sharks; each of these are bad
you may not like my bluntness but thats how I am; snakes, alligators, sharks in the water are now too frequent to dismiss as part of your decision to live there; especially snakes and alligators
Living in FL is a challenge, but the worst part really is navigating through your asleep liberal neighborhoods of those who come down from NY, NJ, MI, and the latest...CA. The gators mainly stay in the ponds and lakes. Sharks come out at feeding time and congregate around piers. The non-native pythons mainly in Everglades...but with all the strange hurricanes, surely making the trek north. There are far worse snakes here, like the Diamondback rattler and the Coral, or Dusky Pygmy rattlesnake, to name a few more. And if that’s not enough, there are various other reptiles in your yards.
Oh, you can also add to your list BEARS! Black ones...in the Panhandle all the way to the Gulf. So far, I haven't heard of any attacks. Someone on Fakebook posted pics of the whole fam damily of black bears scaling their privacy fence into their backyard. They were so dang cute!! We humans have invaded their homeland, what little was left in its natural state. We've cut down virtually every tree in the state (maybe 😐) bec of real estate development. So the wildlife (deer, coyotes, bears and all) so far are just trying to survive -- just like us humans.
I was in Florida. Alligators mostly stay in ponds and lakes. You don't see them much. I don't like the idea of a tornado or badass hurricane blowing up my house though. I like da house. On Lake Jessup there is the Black Hammock. You can see alligators, have dinner, then have some drinks. Nice place. So, now being in Texas, I kind of miss the gators.
DeSantis has never made any misstep. It has been Trump along with the help of his Cult following, who have been spreading lies about DeSantis for 9 months now - ever since DeSantis' record win in FL.
At the same time as the lies have been spread, influencing casual Republicans and Independents, Trump has been getting a 20-25% Sympathy bounce nationally, after all the Democrat indictments.
As Nikki says, America will never elect a convicted Felon to be President. NEVER.

Florida is a wonderful place to live. I spent most of my life there. Every lake, canal and river has gators so smart folks don’t swim in them or walk along the water lines. Heck, I was chased down a fairway after teeing off at the edge of a lake. Honestly, no big deal. Had to bump one with my cart in Publix parking lot once to get him to move from behind my car. Almost all states have venomous snakes. And in forty years there I never saw a Python outside of a zoo. You have a good week or better to prepare for a hurricane before it hits...prepare your home and leave if you want to. Yes, it
sucks if you get hit and your home is damaged but at least you can prepare. Better than a tornado!
If you had enough meth laced mRNA and a big enough glass tank, and you could get a python, a shark, an alligator and DeSantis into the same aquatic bedroom, none would eat each other out on account of professional courtesy, which wouldn't be very exciting to watch.
However, I'd rather watch three predators play nicely with each other - while tripping on meth (hold the mRNA) - than watch a feeble dullard slave like DeSantis pretending to be a player.

My Sweetheart lives in Florida. He would love for me to transfer there. I truly love everything about Florida. I fear the hurricanes - the floods.
