My wife and I said this last year. We have been through previous pandemics: Asian Flu 1957-58, Hong Kong Flu 1968-69, Swine Flu 2009-2010. We never locked down the healthy. Countries like Australia are gripped by irrational hysteria, including doctors—who should no better. Their fixation on Djokovic is a sign of that.

This was totally predictable. How are those “vaccines” working for ya Australia?

Turkey is starting on the 5th round - maybe the 10th shot will be the one!

Yes..they have gone nuts here.

I would not get to smug though tiger.

You didn't mention what country you are in.

But if its the UK or US etc then we are doing fine as measured by excess deaths.

Thanks for "worrying" though.. :)

I live in Perth WA, so I’m not smug and my name is Ely—not tiger! We have people like Mark McGowan—who to be frank—is an intellectual nitwit. We get two or three cases and he goes into a hysterical rant. “Anti-vax thugs”; and “We will make your life miserable”, are just two of the comments he made.

I pay my taxes—still working at age 75. I don’t appreciate the government abusing me because I choose to exercise my natural right of bodily autonomy.

My wife and I are health professionals, and we both predicted what would happen. It’s now happening. Cases are taking off. We are a stupid country as evidenced by the TGA banning Ivermectin. Doctors were having excellent success with it, as evidenced by the Borody and Clancy clinical trial.

No worries..my point about lack of excess deaths still stands...we appear to be in agreement on most things :)

It's still early days into 2022. Let's see how things stack up at mid-year. Australia does have a bit of a unique situation. We are an Island nation; not easy to get here with a low population density. In fact, WA has the lowest anywhere in the world. Between us and the eastern states there is 1600km of nothingness. So it's sometimes difficult to compare one country to another. However, saying that, the governors of New York, New Jersey and Michigan did the stupidest thing. They put Covid patients who were in hospital back into nursing homes. What did they think was going to happen. That is where a significant number of deaths occurred.

Who is smug? Aren't we all laughing as the CovIDIOTS drop like flies in Australia and in other highly vaxxed countries hahaha

You cannot trust a word Yahoo news says.. but nothing you say will change things in Aust.. Morrison has planned the vaccines role out for adults for many years now, committed to contracts with Pfizer rather than support decent Australian vaccines makers .. he’s bought and sold by Pharma... a duplicitous, disgusting person

My heart goes out to the Australian people whose livelihoods have been literally stolen by their corrupt politicians!

Yes it’s been underhand and very dishonest. They make early treatments illegal, leave people vulnerable to Pharma.. few understand how much they have been robbed...

I'm from Australia (Victoria, sadly.) One thing that niggles me with the recent 'spike in deaths' is that no one is factoring that a surge in 'covid deaths' would of course appear to happen because all deaths will likely have a higher rate of incidental covid. If we record 'covid deaths' from 'anyone who died with covid' then wouldn't a spike occur due to the convergence of non-covid deaths with an increasing prevalence of Omicron?

So, far, there was no pressure in the media to lock us down again. In fact, the Prime Minister and Premier of NSW have said that lockdowns were a thing of the past. The former premier of NSW, Gladys, said when we were vacced to our nostrils, we will never lockdown again. So far, they have kept their word.

They don't want to lock down cuz now they have ya'll vaxxed up - and now the virus is spreading like wildfire in the vaxxed population -- and that's going to create some wicked mutations. that has always been the goal

As when one might utter that a virus that may be implicated in death is a gift one deviates from science and impartiality .

It would great to see any strong science and argument that others might be more inclined toward . I always hole that counter arguments could be presented in the comment interactions

Perhaps.

The truth is virtually no-one should be dying from C19 at all - certainly from the latest variant. One needs only look at the Fareed and Tyson experience as a guide. The FLCCC. Dr Chetty. With early treatments those who fell ill and their households could have dealt with it and moved on, immune for life (possibly).

Instead, the standard of care is still where it sat in March 2020, perhaps with some Monoclonals for high risk patients. I can't get my mind around how they have managed to fail so totally for inpatient care. Nearly 2 years of experience from around the world disregarded.

In that regard the new variant does more to help us out of this mess than the Public Health policies, Shots, and the rest of it. Shots will not get us to herd immunity. They cannot.

Let's not forget that many hundred have been killed by the Shots in this country. And the long term effects will make that a rounding error in comparison.

with so many Aussie politicians involved in real estate im not sure they mind the dwindling of its population, they will buy cheap then when everything is back to 'normal' make great profits

if you want to learn more about how crooked they are youtube 'friendlyjordies'. he's funny and brilliant at takedowns, although sadly naïve with the jab narrative

Except the fly in the ointment is continued mass immigration which means no dwindling of the population..and at the moment land prices are going crazy..which they will continue to do when immigrants surge back in again...supply and demand..

I live here. Its hard to get in here at the moment other than with a working visa and being quadruple vaxxed...The real estate is crazy here and has been for the last 2 years.Once restrictions are lifted then the continued real estate ponzi scheme of chinese and indian new citizens will start again. We have very few industries left and rely on the artificial propping up of the economy as side products of the building industry...
