The idea that “women (meaning mothers) have to go back to work” is the death of your country. The first months and years of a child’s life are crucial. They set the outline of the child’s development. The reason we have escalating rates of depression, anxiety, addiction, suicide, is that so many children are not being properly mothered.
Babies and children are born ready to attach to their mother. They are severely damaged by separation from their mother. Child care workers, aunts, neighbours, even fathers, cannot replace the devoted care of a mother.
Babies need to develop a secure attachment to their mother. A changing brigade of childcare workers, neighbours, Nannys, can not supply what a devoted mother supplies and what babies need.
We need a scientific study. How many full time mothers feel they are not working????
How many feel they are working harder than they have ever worked?
As a father of 8 grown children, I can attest to the importance of a Strong Father figure and a Stay At Home Mom. I was raised in the "Free Church of God. My wife was raised Methodist. We raised our in children in the Methodist faith although we all learned in the process that even their own aunt, a Deacon in the Church could turn on and feed off the Parishners. Their Grandparents Bailed the Aunt out after she stole $50k from a Parishners' disabled child for whom she was left "Executor"for by the disabled victim's blind parents. We have since returned to The Free Church of God where we each have our own walk with while Thanking God for the bounty of gifts received as apposed to asking for things we didn't receive. We thank others around us daily as they work in their seemingly mundane roles as we once did the same.
One of the all time best commencement speeches I’ve ever heard. You can’t unhear it, so I hope it truly resonated with the students he was addressing. It was a positive message of building family & faith in partnership with your soulmate. I loved it. 💜
Im with you! Last game I watched balt at san francisco. Used to have season pass nhl tickets. Stopped watching all pro sports, don't mizs a bit. Like everything in this world its probably scripted. Shows ypu how out of wack priorities are when actpos and athletes make millions of dollars!
When my kids were in pre-school, they had a friend named James. For almost a year all we heard was James is doing this and James is doing that.. James is so nice and knows everything…
But one day, the boys came home from school and we noticed there was something wrong…
My wife tried to inquire but the boys were speechless… In the end the boys said this:
‘Dad mom; do you know that James is different than us?”
“What do you mean different?” - My wife asked.
“His skin colour is different than ours…” - one of the boys replied or both.
“And why does it bother you?” - I asked.
“It doesn’t” - boys replied.
“So, why did you bring this up?”- We asked.
“One of the kids at the playground came to us and said this”. - “You know James’ skin colour is different than yours…” something like that.
So, why do you think my kids had never noticed that their best friend’s skin colour was different than theirs until someone pointed it out???
