I was so disappointed, but unfortunately not too surprised , today to read that Robert Kennedy jr does not agree with SCOTUS opinions about affirmative action in college enrollment and student debt payoff rejection. He’s just another democrat who wants big government. My husband and I put three daughters through college and paid for all of it and they had no student debt and we did without a lot of things to do this. Two of our son in laws paid off their student loans and one has his own business and the other has a good paying job. All three of our daughters and their husbands know the value of the dollar since all have worked hard to achieve their goals in life.

There are always two sides to every issue. I understand the unfairness of his attempt to help debtors with tax monies. However, more unfair is the interference the government has made on some industries/practices making these careers/degrees artificially obsolete. They need to help those that got pushed out of their jobs because of government and had to downgrade their income making it difficult to pay back loans. There must be another solution other than making the tax payer liable.
That is a good question. I could not answer that with exact number but it would be worth researching. Many lost everything when Obama care was implemented years ago. Antadotally, I knew two doctors that committed suicide because they could not keep their offices' open and many "accidental" deaths after roll out. Some were my friends. The rest were forced into lower pay hospital or had to find another line of work. I'm sure healthcare isn't the only industry but many took on huge loans.
