Again, that just demonstrates the lunacy of viewing liberal/conservative labels as identifying two distinct and opposing ideologies. They're variations of the same feudalism that uses populism to contain the masses and reallocate assets to the oligarchs, such as during COVID. Populist manifestations through social justice activism and the reactionary anti woke coalitions were empowered by populism and a distraction as elites pilfered the wealth from the middle and working class. Funding it with printed paper whose debt is owned, in part, by foriegn entities, and pushing the interest payments upon the citizens through taxation and inflation.
If the security of any other country than America becomes a security issue for America, then America isn't sovereign. It's sovereignty is fused with foriegn nations. A small country thousands of miles away that has witnessed countless regime and cultural changes for thousands of years is simply not a security interest for the US. The average American doesn't even know the New Testament was written in Greek or what language Christ spoke. The idea the US government knows what's best for anyone in the middle east is simply fueled by ideologies like British Israelism that are rooted in narcissism and ethno nationalism. Perhaps that's why the west has adopted Pride as it's new slogan.
What's very sad is Israel has yet to get the hostages back or neutralize 2,000 Hamas. That is a military and intelligence failure that isn't fixed by carpet bombing Gaza when Hamas is supposedly deep underground in tunnels. The only legitimate US interest I see is getting any Americans captured or abandoned in Gaza back to the USA. Because Israel failed to do that. Isreal's intelligence failure and reaction to the Hamas attack has now put Americans in danger as they are trapped inside Gaza, which is being bombed, while others are held by terrorists the Israeli government still can't find. Despite Israel having such great surveillance and counterintelligence. Now Israel wants to do a ground invasion of a tiny area that is blockaded and surrounded with fences. While Hamas is supposedly in tunnels underground and posting videos of themsleves in underground tunnels without structural damage from bombing.
Considering how the US fought in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Korea, it's unlikely the US could successfully fight a counterinsurgency in Gaza against Hamas. Given NATO's performance in Ukraine, if Hamas threat of mining Gaza are remotely true, it will again probably not go well for the west or Israel. America lost to the Taliban rather recently so the idea the US military is going to quickly win a counterinsurgency in hostile territory where they don't speak the language, know the culture, or blend in going to end better than any other time the US has tried to fight such a conflict in the middle east? How will US troops handle the very anti woke culture of the middle east given the trauma misgendering and who can shower together has caused in the US military? Muslims don't respect what they consider LGBT culture. An enemy that doesn't respect the invader is not good for the invader. Does the US even have supplies to maintain a long term counterinsurgency against Hamas? Recruiting doesn't indicate it. The US doesn't have weapons to match the suicide drones made by Iran or the hypersonic weapons Russia has.
BRICS is not likely to side with Israel if forced to choose. So like Ukraine, the majority of the world is unlikely to be behind Israel if the conflict continues/expands. In fact, US officials have made several comments media that the US position with Israel in relation to the Gaza bombing is isolating the global south from the US.

It's a pleasure reading a comment from someone who actually knows what happened because truth, which saves lives, is more important than propaganda, which costs lives. Anti-Israel comments herein reflect reasons why they believe hamas could not do this, but none of those reasons can be proven because hamas did, in fact, do this. They've done it before, the palestinians have done this before - they once sealed a church and again a synagogue from the outside, locking everyone inside, then burned them all to death. Palestinians send their children outside into fire fights so that if hey get hurt or die, they can blame Israel. Palestinians hate Israel more than they love their own children.
