If “45” had repudiated the shots as he should have I feel confident the outcome would have been different. Trump’s irrational and gutless promotion of the shots … probably related to his status under the PREP act … in the face of horrendous death and injury data beyond all rational dispute … was arguably at the bottom of the “red wave” failure because it stalled any discussion of Biden administration’s Crimes Against Humanity. Not even Congress will mention it even now.
This is not Menendez’s first run-in with ethics charges. I thought at the time “Oh come on, he’s a good guy.” In some ways he is. But his rigid support for disastrous and utterly stupid mandate and Ukraine policies ... no response to folks like me who wrote to him... tag him as part of the cult.
