It’s been up to the Italian women to rise and they have been, so now, we will see if there is the courage, integrity and intelligence to fight and win this battle. If she is anything like my Italian grandmother who was born in the late 1890s then there is a chance and reason for me to be hopeful!
She’s awesome! I wish the Conservative GOP would adopt the platform of the European right, which doesn’t make their stance about banning abortion. Like it or not, the Republicans found the SINGLE issue so contentious as to motivate Democrats, moderates,Independents, libertarians and center right to vote… against Conservatives who have pushed this too far.
I’m pro-life by choice. But banning all abortions or making it so restrictive that women and girls who are unaware of being pregnant at 6 weeks, forcing them to bear unwanted children for any reason is not “ freedom”. It’s cruel and way overreaching.
If she tightens the border controls in Italy then the problem may be redirected to Mexico where they will just walk straight over the border and into the US in time to participate in the midterms.
