I've been thinking that this is about Iran, at least for the US. Never let a good crisis go to waste, type of thing. And Iran is on the US radar. The BRICS invited Iran (and others in) last month and are also discussing a "common" currency to displace the US dollar. Still a ways off, but the BRICS are getting now quite large and when they get up to speed, could displace US hegemony and US dollar reserve status even more that has occurred all ready. Also, of course, there is the short term oil/gas grab possibility in Iran, .... a la Iraq war. Are all wars "banker's wars"? I hope not, because this time it has real potential to triggering WW3, with existing conflicts in Ukraine going on at the same time, and the world pretty much knowing that the US has depleted it's munitions. (An old acquaintance who works for Chamberlain (now owned by General Dynamics) where shells are made, says they can't make the shells fast enough to rearm our military). Biden and Co. may have really screwed the pooch this time if we get into something that we cannot fully support.
