At a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing last week, Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) had a tense exchange with Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Bonnie Jenkins.
I’ve been pushing to repeal that law instead of simply continuing it for well over 20 years! It’s what created the ‘Senior Executive Service’, better known as the swamp or deep state. People in these positions can’t be fired. Remember the Ambassador to Ukraine that President Trump fired? She simply went back to a desk job at Foggy Bottom until she decided to retire.
It took over 4 decades to get to that point, but look at all of the damage they’ve done to us in that time. They push funding requests that turn into earmarks and continuing resolutions. But no program ever ends, they just keep funding them. The government spending from 1975 to today shows just how broken the system really is!
It should have never been passed, but Congress had been solidly held by demokkkrats for 30 years by that point. Republicans didn’t get invited to the party, much less to the table.
She is demonstrating exactly why she was put in that position, completely unqualified, weak minded, easily controlled and incompetent. She does and says as she is told by the puppet masters, just as with all the other leftist installed bureaucrats.

She is a perfect example of what we get from DEI. I'd love to know what her income from her civil service job is. Anything over minimum wage, considering her poor communication skills, weak vocabulary, and lack of knowledge of subject matter to be discussed, would be absurd.

I argued with my relative over the project 25 wanting to fire 50000. They nor we are guaranteed lifetime jobs with awesome pay and benefits paid for by US taxpayers.
I'm all for firing as many as possible. Start with IRS, fire 99.99999% and create a flat tax above a certain income.

Want to add. Why is this position Jenkins has even exist? Is it necessary? How many other positions cover the same duties?
Well into 7 figures supporting her and her staff maybe 8 figures after retirements, expenses, trips, transportation, office space.
Money saved could go towards anything like bridge repair, EMP preparedness, 1000s of good, needed things, not a penny to any foreign country.
