of our elderly in Canadian nursing homes, long-term facilities? why? Midazolam? Sedation? pure ineptness still with incompetence from all failed public health schools? what happened? MURDER?
Considering all the other Canadian policies that are horrific, this isn't surprising news. Canada has got to be one of the most screwed up countries on earth. And I used mild language here.
It used to be such a good country overall. Troodo father had started a communist dictatorship trail that his son was too happy to continue full speed ahead. All a plan.
In Quebec we have been the worst. Not only the elderlies in hospitals were sent crammed in CHLSDs, no seperation was done from the cov positive from the others. They sure took advantage of the situation to let the most vulnerable die of starvation and thirst (it's provable), not of covid. Since families could not intervene, it was the perfect set-up cover-up to clean up the facilities from "useless eaters". The army came in finally, and seperated the Cov positives from the negatives. No one could do that...9?). On top of this the nurses and beneficiary attendants were on schedules leading to working from one place to another many times a week, spreading the cov like brushfire from one facility to the other. No one stopped this. Finally, our Quebec Gov gone dictator "voted" not to have an investigation. Just a few thousands of suspicious murders. That's it. Despicable and tragic : our older folk's ashes gone under the carpet now.
In most Toronto nursing homes, whether non-profit or for-profit, the residents are already circling the drain due to pre-existing health problems of aging when they arrive. Most die within 2-3 years of entry.
Absolutely! Here in Ontario, the government allots less than $11 per day per nursing home resident for three squares and two snacks. It's all processed stuff full of sugar - even for those with diabetes, kidney disease etc.
Judgemental much? Some families do that, no question. I took early retirement to care for my demented mother. She lived with our family for four years in our home and I don't regret it despite the financial and health hits I took. Then she had a stroke at 94. For our family, the nursing home option was absolutely necessary and a life-saver. We could not provide the basic care, let alone nursing care that she needed 24/7. Her wheelchair couldn't fit through our doors or hallway and we could not afford a massive bathroom reno - or nurses, or any respite care. What I learned during the three+ years my mother was in a nursing home, is that many residents are there for similar reasons. Many DO have devoted and faithful family members who visit daily and help with basic care and feeding. Some don't have families at all, so thanks must go to the Canadian government for funding long term chronic care. The catastrophic thing that hastened my mother's decline to death was the stupid, cruel application of Branch Covidian isolation, neglect and social deprivation, especially the rule prohibiting the unjabbed like me from caring for their own loved ones - who did not have to be jabbed. Great scientific logic, huh? My mother was never going to live to be 100. That stroke sealed her fate. But her life could have been a lot better, and maybe a few weeks longer, if I had been allowed in to care for her every day during those lockdown years.
Thanks for the undeserved compliment... if you knew my mother, you'd know she wouldn't stand for anyone trying to be heroic on her behalf, and I wasn't. I didn't need to be. She was a sensible pragmatic person that way and easy to care for. Despite her advancing dementia we often had a good time. I miss her but am glad she's no longer suffering. What happened to Canada was corporate authoritarianism pretending to be democratic socialism.
The kicker is that most Canadians are so pathetically controlled that they still believe, despite OVERWHELMING evidence to the contrary, that the Covid jab was/is a good thing to have. How many must suffer the ill effects? How many must die before these pathetic fools realize that they have been had by the likes of authoritarian ruler Justin "the tyrant" Trudeau?
Derek, it is pretty overwhelming for sure that Canadians are still blaming the unvaccinated. Where have they been all this time? It baffles me how stupid some are and others, who just want to pretend it is all behind us.
I share your sentiment. At this stage of the circus, I have adopted an attitude whereby I am no longer trying to educate/illuminate/red-pill any of this delusional victims. The information is easily found if one has the courage to look. What is also irksome (and one of the reasons I have adopted this attitude) is that some, who are finally waking up, have the gall to blame us unvaxxed people for not warning/helping them understand. I can only shake my head with incredulity having been one who was demonstrably screaming from the rooftop not to take the poison, and I was vilified for it at the time by some I know.
Derek, I agree! The tables are turned on those of us who used their brains in the first place. At this point, they are wedged into their beliefs and we are firmly committed into ours. The info is all there and backed by some incredible knowledgeable people too, not just based on opinion or feeling any longer.
