Now that they know no one is safe, countries are stupid if they don't develop complete workarounds for the US dollar, and they are.

Shanghai has a population of approximately 25 million people so when you say "only Shanghai" I think you should consider the fact that many countries have populations which are much smaller. That is a huge number of people to lock down. This is no trivial thing. I live in a country with a population base of 37 million. That's my perspective here.

And then we have Iwi converting 40k a hectare dairy into 8k a hectare pine forest for the supposed carbon credits. Which when chopped down and shipped to Shanghai (if it's open) take 8 or 9 times the amount of CO2 to transport than what was stored originally.
But as long as everyone in Parliament has Teslas with 8k government subsidies on the back of charges of 4 or 5k (per year, and yes it's quite real from April 1st this year) for everyone who has a pre 2005 car, no worries!
