I had to bring my mother to the hospital yesterday in Trail BC, and the masks!! Having to let every second person know you are exempt, having to tell them "no, I won't just hold it in my hand", being banned to a little corner instead of the waiting room. It was like stepping back into the worst times. Yes, there is a good feeling when you finally leave, and know that you didn't bend to them. But that sickly feeling never knowing when you would run into a power hog is not a nice one. And just like two years ago, my 91 yr old mother and I were the only bare faces to be seen. Very troubling.
I was in hospital (UK) in April 2023, I refused a Lateral Flow test. The two doctors conferred, came back in with hasmat type suits on, full masks with those breathy things on the side and plastic shields, they then removed ALL the furniture that wasn't essential. The whole time giving me a barage of emotional abuse. Hmmm. Just before I refused the test the doctor handed me the pen out of his pocket to sign a form then put it back in his pocket. Good grief. This is the craziest show on earth!
I was only there for some tests and not having to stay thankfully. I looked the doctors directly in the eye and stayed silent to their comments. I was unmasked and obviously dangerous ha ha. It was a surreal experience and in many ways hard not to laugh at the furniture getting taken out but the pen going back in the pocket!!
