Well, when it comes to the uniparty in Washington, after the $11 trillion COVID spending and money-printing orgy, they responded to calls for spending cuts and reforms … by allowing an all-you-can-eat debt buffet from now until 2025! Don’t worry, they gave us a couple of spending and accounting gimmicks in return.
It seems that many politicians (I refuse to believe all) are there to feather their own nest. How many politicians have become super wealthy after having been in office. Look no further than crooked Trudeau the tyrant. He had a $10 million trust fund set up by his father. Now the greedy little shit is worth over $300 million. This on a salary of around $250k/per year. I smell a rat and his name is Justin!
The three branches of Government are theatre. The actors are highly compensated. Their sole purpose is to put on a show to divert attention away from the real government that lives behind the stage.
I think it's all a ruse - there is no stopping the tidal wave of debt at this point. It will crush us either way and better sooner than later. Responsible people need to anticipate this and take appropriate measures to limit personal destruction while keeping an eye on what a recovery may look like. This is going to be a hard pill to swallow no mater what, there's no stopping the roller-coaster car once it crests the hill. My biggest concern is the the funding of NGOs and their subsequent use to subvert elections and conduct other unconstitutional activities on the citizenry. Economy be damned, it's the aggregation of power that matters - just the opposite of what the Federal Budget is supposed to be.
To quote Warren Buffet (I think), if printing money was an effective solution to correcting an economy, it would have been done before... . Actually, it has, and it has always failed, was the point.
The fall, whenever it happens, will be a reckoning.
