Because the hospital refused to accommodate his needs, his surgeon agreed to do the procedure in an out patient setting. I had to pay out of pocket though. It was worth every penny to protect his life. AND I paid 1/4 the cost that insurance would have been billed. The part that frightened me the most was the behavior by the chief anesthesiologist, completely calloused to special needs. This should frighten everyone.
