And perhaps they hope that public litigation-fatigue will set in after Hunter is charged on the smaller stuff and the case drags on and on (can we say "motions") And, of course, a focus on Hunter would TEND to not put Joe in the hotseat he belongs in (at least not as much of a Joe-focus as there deserves to be)
A case on Hunter can easily get out of control. He leads a life of ‘oh what a tangeled web we weave.’ You pull one string & another one comes undone. Of course his father is intimately involved so it will be very difficult to keep the case on the straight and narrow. One question asked of a witness answered in the wrong way opening a door can bust it right open. A good prosecutor can call witnesses that can really hurt the Biden’s. Unless of course they are all bought & paid for.
Not to mention that they are waiting till after the mid terms to announce the indictment. The FBI also hid the laptop till after the election. Which all by itself is election fraud, even if NOTHING else was done to cheat the election for Biden and againstTrump.
So yeah, it's an attempt to restore confidence in the KGB, sorry, FBI rather than to correct any wrongdoings by the Democrats.
