Joy , your mom was a brave ,wise woman , obviously very loved . I’m sure she knew and felt all the love your family had for her . Sorry for your loss .

Thank you! She was almost 94 when she left us. She was "ready" to be with the Lord. Had 12 kids, and left behind 142 direct descendants (and counting;-). Very natural and peaceful passing. I can only hope I get to go in such a manner.
Me too ! What a strong and vibrant woman your mother must have been ! And obviously a force to reckon with !
I lost my mom too , 16 yrs . ago . It was so heart wrenching. I feel she went through too many medical interventions towards the end of her life. But that is another story…Firstly she had undergone gallbladder surgery then while in the recovery room suffered a massive heart attack. Even though she did not pass from the heart attack ,she was never really the same again. She lived about 2 yrs. after wards, and had undergone pace maker surgery ( which did not work for her )before finally going home to heaven . I was pregnant with my 3 child at the time and will always remember holding her hand before she passed and praying she would somehow be able to feel her unborn grandson’s presence , wishing that it would give her peace and that it was ok for her to leave .
I thank God everyday for my 3 children , especially my youngest son, as my need to care for him helped me emotionally with being able to say goodbye to my mom. I realized it was now my turn to be strong for my children. Faith and family are truly the only things that matter . God Bless !
