Is there a place for herbal medicine? Homeopathic medicine? Alternative parallel systems of health? Yes, I do think so, 100% and this well written piece by Wolf was a welcomed addition
It is a crying shame that most folks have such low opinions of herbal and other natural remedies. Lack of education about these matters are of foremost importance, along with nutrition. Much is available on the internet to learn from but most need to be educated in the proper use and how they can affect their own medicines and health issues. It's not an easy road to walk either to extol the virtues of a plant but not be offering medical advice at the same time. The virtues of all the wonderful gifts our Creator has endowed the human race with are staggering! Only wise ones will take proper notes of how to use them to improve our health. The not-so-wise will be looking at how to abuse these great gifts too so be prepared. Some folks don't even want you to recommend online what temperature of water to use on a bump without a medical degree. If anyone is prepared to deal with that, I'm positive you are...with joy,
Yes, yes and yes!! Many of us are on the same journey as we know we MUST move away from the chemicals and pharmaceutical toxins that got us into the mess we are currently in. Just took a Herbology class, it is fascinating!! Let’s share notes and get healthy together. Thank you!
Please do share with us. To attain better health and gain more simplicity in our lives, we need to be back in sync with nature and ancestral practices.
Out of curiosity and fondness for 'things ancient', I started growing medicinal herbs 35 years ago. Mostly I did this for fun, but my elecampane wine cured the worst kind of cough, and when a strawberry soda bottle exploded, and glass flew into my chin, I ran to the garden for yarrow, which I chewed, and applied to the cut. On arrival at emergency room the nurse was aghast at this junk on my chin--but the styptic yarrow had stopped the bleeding. Over a period of inattention, most of those herbs disappeared, then ~2018 I decided that I wanted to re-establish this garden section, and did so. Last fall I made so many tinctures and oil-extractions; jars of dried herbs fill a shelf, large bundles of herbs hang from the attic herb-drying rack. In November I was drinking artemisia tea for a sore throat, and found that the stiffness growing in my knee just disappeared. And hasn't come back.
Your eloquent voice is a wonderful addition to the natural holistic community. You bring a discerning eye to healing modalities that have been suppressed for over 100 years.
Hello Dr. Naomi. Please share your findings on natural health. I find that natural treatments works better in our house for most problems. Organic Dr's is the title I give them. And God bless you and your work.
Alternative medicine - of course there is. Our native tribes and Europeans and Asian peoples all had other natural medicines to heal infections. That's why we're alive today and not wiped out years ago.
I love all that you stand for and this path you have gone down should be shared for all to learn. I also listen to Barbara O’Neil when I can find her videos who gives great insight into natural healing. Please do share!!
I am with you. After the covid plandemic and other things, I have awakened to big pharma and would much rather use natural remedies and products. So please share.

Such irony. "American medicine profited immeasurably".
