One of the things they used as example of that was the Governor Whitmer kidnaping plot, which turned out was an FBI plot in which FBI agents basically recruited poor rednecks and hillbillies to join their fake group so they could pin this FBI orchestrated kidnapping plot on them and have a news story about there being a rise in Right Wing Terrorism.
