A recession is usually a way for the economy to correct the excesses and misallocation of funds that are due to fads etc. The economy in the last 15years has been run and (mis)managed by the Fed. The recession then will be a way for the system to correct itself, except that it cannot. This is because the fed’s money is still sloshing in the system and that is the cause of recession. If Fed had managed the printing better, we’d have been like a socialist economy where things run smoothly for longer. Since Fed’s actions will lead to the recession, this recession will not end until Fed exits the market.
My prediction is that if the population doesn’t decrease (may be thanks to vaccines), we will go from recession to recession. This is the definition of depression.
