When I was six years old I remember the TV repeatedly said, “Give to the American Cancer Society.” Of course it also told me only I could prevent forest fires, an Italian actor pretending to be an American Indian shed a tear over littering, to get a good job I required a good education, and if I turned up my parent’s home thermostat I was being “fuelish.” Looking back some 60 years later I can see clearly it was all manipulative bullshit.
What always made me shake my head was that for over 150 years, give or take, the American Cancer People have raised BILLIONS of dollars guilting people into donating, and all they could come up with as treatments is Chemo and Radiation? That’s it. Just chemo and radiation.
What a joke. And the minions just keep on giving as if their money is doing any good.

Unfortunately you’re correct. The same can be said for all of the top diseases incl diabetes and coronary artery disease. Insulin is a cash cow that big pharma isn’t interested in seeing go away and cholesterol as a precursor to heart disease is a dead-end but they sell a lot of useless but deadly Statin drugs anyway.
