Kind of a familiar thing we have here in the US where the wealthy and powerful don’t seem to ever face the consequences—but eventually everyone faces judgment.

Beth Holloway is a very strong mom and waited all these long years to hear the killer present details. Being a victim advocate, I have known many victims who just wanted to know the last details of their loved one’s lives. Beth finally found out.

I hope he never sees the light of day except from the prison yard. Maybe a male inmate will want a sexual favor and beat him up like Jeffrey Daumer found in prison.

Being a retired state corrections officer , I can tell you that is a very real possibility ! They call it ' Prison Justice ' .

I remember watching the trial with my stepmom who was a state prosecutor in Peru as it was going on and she was explaining how they set him up for a long sentence. They offered him a deal on a lesser sentence if he cooperated with them but they have a law that if you show no remorse the deal is rescinded and they had video proof of him partying afterwards so he eventually received full sentence.

On another note- very big international news will be reported on all news stations this Saturday

Natalee can never come back, but I'm so glad her long-suffering Mom finally at least has answers to questions that have surely tormented her all these years.

Rest in peace, Natalee.... your Mom can know more peace on earth now.

I don't buy the part about dragging her a few feet into the ocean and dumping her body; he, his dad, and the friends he called made sure the body would never be found.

I agree. I remember the dad was somehow involved in disposing her body

Van der Sloot is an absolute psychopath that was enabled and protected by his wealthy parents who obstructed after the fact. Payback... not just the sentences, but what an utter embarrassment to his family. Serve out his sentence in (?) Peru, then start another. Maybe worse than capital punishment? I hope so.

😞😡. He should get the death penalty not jail where our tax dollars can fund his food, tv, classes, etc.

Maybe prison food is only food-like, the tv a reminder of the life outside prison walls, and the classes merely a distraction that cannot be put to use. Death by a thousand cuts. Likely he’ll be involved in some kind of violence, and they don’t play nice in prison. He’ll end up being someone’s Natalee.

Maybe. Still paying for that

Believe it or not, adjudication costs for capital cases far outweigh the cost of incarceration. At least, that’s what I read.
