They flee Blue-run hellholes like Minneapolis, and since they live in more expensive houses there, the housing costs will have a more outsized impact on a lower inflation rate. They then move to their "safe from conservatives" area of Florida, bidding up the price of real-estate even more. [There is very little undeveloped land there for their big homes.] So they again have an outsized impact. Finally, always keep in mind the government inflation numbers are heavily manipulated. For example, if inflation % were to match what it was during Trump era, that doesn't mean the prices of things are back to Trump era, since the inflation actual cost gets added on top of prior year's costs. So things are much more expensive. The Blue state infection continues to spread to more conservative areas of the country. Dems like making messes, but never get held accountable and never stay around long enough to actually fix things [which isn't their goal anyway.]

People and especially retirees have long wanted to live in Florida. DeSantis' failure to bring inflation under control is due to fact that he is economically incompetent. As POTUS he would ruin the US economically for decades. The country will be a wreck by the end of Biden's current term and if DeSantis is the GOP nominee then Biden or his replacement is likely to win. If DeSantis did win he would be guaranteed to embroil the country in forever wars, spending trillions of dollars protecting the interests of cross-dressing globalists in Europe. He does not have what it takes to repairthe damage done by the Democrats. He has no business experience. And he is beholden to his donors. He is addicted to Koch. The US will not be saved by an economic incompetent with no foreign policy experience beholden to donors. Let DeSantis' failure to bring inflation under control be a warning. The US needs the proven economic expertise of Donald J Trump.
1. Cut taxes. FL has no State income tax and there is already a sales tax holiday in late July/early August. Non-cooked food is not subject to sales tax. Taxes are already extremely low. What taxes would be cut?
2. Reduce regulations. FL is not overly regulatory like a lot of blue states. There doesn't seem like a lot of opportunity here.
3. Increase housing. If you live here, have you looked around? We have enough houses here, I'm in favor of DECREASING the housing supply. Everyone can just fuck right off. The environmental cost to continued building is too high, it's disgusting all of the building going on.
4. Help people get back to work. LOL. There are plenty of jobs here, no one has enough employees.
