Solve Et Coagula. The psychopaths are playing god with societal alchemy. They create nothing new, just ruin all meant to be good, true, and beautiful.

I have seen that phrase as a tattoo on some influential people. Wish I could remember who. Alchemical phrase of intent, is it not?

Marilyn Manson, and JK Rowling. No surprise on either.

The Atlantic is Democrat, far left propaganda for smart people. It always looks reasonable on the surface, but a close look and you see its intention is always to destroy traditional America and traditional Western culture. The Atlantic is a brilliant study in agitprop.

This is not how I understand the Biblical story of the Tower of Babel and what it teaches us. However, I do feel the story is very applicable to our current situation. My understanding is that decentralization is favored. I also feel that is not social media is necessarily bad or good. It is simply a medium of communicating. Now how people behave and present themselves is what defines good from bad. Similar to guns or anything that could be used as a weapon, a knife, a pencil, even water. It's not those items or things that are evil, it's the use of these items. I feel that social media could be what saves us from collective elites pushing their agenda no matter what it takes, as becoming more and more evident. And that is why social media is getting censored, it allows dissenting thought.

And censorship erodes all three.

If we're going to go biblical, I prefer to call on Michael.. clearly the seals have been broken and the horsemen have appeared.

Interesting how we can see science and theology somehow appear united now where in the past, there was a division.

I think constant lying by the government, media, and Big Tech/Big Parma have been the biggest factor in reducing social capital. Stop the lying and things might improve. However, they will not because the truth will reveal who they really are and it is a very ugly picture.

It looks you already posted all the good points.

These divisions have been slowly cultivated for the entirety of my half century of life. It just took the right time and tech for them to become obvious to all. Much like a large ship that developed many tiny leaks, society has been slowly sinking for a long period of time. At first, these leaks were completely ignored. Those who work in closer proximity to them were the first to voice mild concern. They were told that these leaks were too small to cause any problem. Besides, there were systems in place to ensure that they didn’t get out of hand. Eventually, it became obvious to a few that there was a problem and it was not being dealt with effectively. Those who voiced what was now real concern were this time angrily dismissed. And thus it continued as the ship slowly settled further into the water over a long a period of time.

Nothing suddenly happened in 2009. It was just at that point that the sinking condition of the ship became noticeable to a greater number of people. A whole deck had disappeared beneath the water and those who needed to go there started adding their voices to the ever growing chorus of distress. Those who were inclined to believe these reports looked to the Captain and his crew and observed that those in charge took no noice so they too ignored the warnings. Then the ship encounters a storm. True the storm is severe, but a vessel in proper trim would have a much better chance of riding it out than one full of small leaks and water in the hold.

Eventually, the point of no return will be reached and the ship will suddenly capsize or one end go under raising the other high out or the water and then quickly slip beneath the surface. However, the catastrophe began long before and was simply allowed to happen until a seemingly sudden event appears to cause it.

Same with what we are experiencing in the US. While adverse weather can speed the process up, the fact the ship’s capability to stay afloat was allowed to be slowly compromised is the real cause. Social media is just the storm being blamed for damage due to decades of neglect that it is only making evident.

Some have said similar about covid. They claim that we do not have a viral pandemic, rather we have an epidemic of unhealthily diet and lifestyle choices made apparent by a virus that preys upon those with these issues.

we have to be careful of "analyses" like these. this guy is a wolf in sheep's clothing, an apologist for totalitarian nazis. he conveniently fails to mention that facebook is simply the darpa lifelog project, rebranded. he takes zuckerberg's disingenuous pr fluff about the future of social media on face value, unquestioningly. he essentially praises communist, murderous china and also the uar for their "stability." he cites the edelman trust study, a propaganda arm of the world economic forum designed to resuscitate the credibility of the world health organization and their nefarious collaborators. this is a classic case of a propagandist subtly whitewashing an issue by vastly understating its sinister nature. yes, social media is a problem - far, far worse than this guy admits. you people here are a smart bunch. use your critical thinking skills.

This is what went 'wrong' ...

Shale binge has spoiled US reserves, top investor warns Financial Times.

Preface. Conventional crude oil production may have already peaked in 2008 at 69.5 million barrels per day (mb/d) according to Europe’s International Energy Agency (IEA 2018 p45). The U.S. Energy Information Agency shows global peak crude oil production at a later date in 2018 at 82.9 mb/d (EIA 2020) because they included tight oil, oil sands, and deep-sea oil. Though it will take several years of lower oil production to be sure the peak occurred. Regardless, world production has been on a plateau since 2005.

What’s saved the world from oil decline was unconventional tight “fracked” oil, which accounted for 63% of total U.S. crude oil production in 2019 and 83% of global oil growth from 2009 to 2019. So it’s a big deal if we’ve reached the peak of fracked oil, because that is also the peak of both conventional and unconventional oil and the decline of all oil in the future.

Some key points from this Financial Times article: https://energyskeptic.com/2021/the-end-of-fracked-shale-oil/
