I am currently looking to move. I am in Miami, Florida. Miami has become a hot commodity for New Yorkers and Californians leaving dictatorship like governors.

I was told my rent would increase by 10% in January. A few weeks ago I was advised that it was going up by 40%! I was given 2 months to move. Not something I had planned, but that's life in the new abnormal!

I can get something for what I was paying, but half the size or less and with zero amenities.

This is outrageous. I would not even dream of buying a place now, unless it was a tiny home. Seriously considering one of those.

They better not start evicting people after they have sent billions overseas and bailed out the financial institutions, never the common man. There better be an uprising if that happens.

We are going to need rent control, in order to avoid this continuing to happen.

Thank you for posting this!

I would be inclined to camp in a Camry get four cylinder not six cylinder - very reliable spacious and comfortable. It is good to tinker the driver’s seat boot release knob to somewhere else so that someone can’t unlock the boot while you’re sleeping. Camp anywhere, the best spots unnoticed and wait for the market to drop, (it will and is doing so in Sydney where it now costs 1,000,000. to buy half a dodgilly built, noisy, smelly rat hole) then buy, hopefully at a profit. Very best wishes for you.

Thank you, Possum. I am going to rent another place while I figure out if I should buy land, join a tiny home community, or get a Volkswagen Vanwagon and explore the USA. I recently bought a tent and sleeping bag for a camping trip that was cancelled, but have never been camping!

I wish you the very best in Sydney.

We need a divine intervention to straighten out this world that has gone absolutely mindbending mad!

Dear Myriam, I have had a lot to do with backyard mechanics. In my opinion Volkswagen is a money pit. Toyota is cheap, reliable and easy to work on. The seats are most comfortable. I used to buy my Toyotas at the wrecking yard - the best cars I’ve had. The only thing that kills them is not changing the oil and filters and rust in the shazzy if they are by the sea. Sending love.

Thanks for the tips! The Volkswagen van is so nostalgic. I drive an Acura that I’ve had for 13 years. I always change the oil after 5000 miles and do the regular tune ups.

Yes that's exactly what we need THEY imposing rent controls because THEIR stupid ass policies caused rents to rise and wages to decrease. But sure call THEM in to help. That's how we got here in the first place.

If the price isn’t right DON’T COMPLY. When I was a student I had a beautiful squat (I only had a bicycle), with landline, electricity and hot water nearby work and study. The views there today would worth 5k at least. Today you can camp in the best places for nothing if done right. I don’t use public wifi, can do cellular, (important iOS update yesterday). CB radio is good.

Of course not. Some rent prices are going down, as are home prices. I’ve been following the market. Some got very greedy, but it’s not working out for them so they have to lower prices to a more realistic level.

Gut punch number one was Covid which was preplanned and man-made to control the masses! Gut punch number two is coming where the majority of middle income families have to skinny back to survive and at the same time those in the lower economic class will revolt because of their inability to survive without massive handouts! We will see urban warfare because of the Biden policies!

This is no surprise . The dollar s ties to gold were severed in 1971 and since then the value of the dollar has plummeted. Trump was a failure in that he facilitated massive inflation and biden continued it. Now the EFFECTS are a rise in prices and decrease in real wages. This is only the beginnig of the pain. We are about to have an inflationary depression worse than the great depression of the 1930s

I think Trump understood the issues and took action to stop them, but too much opposition theatrics including Russiangate, impeachment and Covid blunted his efforts!

I’m in San Diego and several acquaintances are desperate to find a place to rent. One bedrooms go for 2700.00. California is a sanctuary state

Same in Miami. A decent, small one bedroom goes for $2500 and up.

Nearby in LaBelle Florida, a few trailer park retirement communities were bought out during lockdown. The fixed income middle class retired can’t afford the increases.

Here's a truism that hopefully helps people, especially you younger folks.

In life you must own things. Never rent anything unless it's short term.

This BTW is what the new globalist are trying to stop. Ownership, "you'll own nothing and be happy", is total bullshit. I wonder why they push it? Really? It's about control.

Most of us are Twitter refugees because we rented the platform. See what I meant? Trump started his own platform Truth Social for that very reason.

So you can see the logic here, owning means controlling. Having control of your life means owning everything you can. This way no one can manipulate your life.

Discretionary income is evaporating and now basic costs of survival is being brought under pressure because of the inflationary policies of Biden!

This is why people don't "stand up." They are strangulated by the tentacles of the global economy. Too much debt, too little job security, or stuck in a city/suburb that is increasingly violent and unsafe. The PTB are trying to make your economic situation so untenable that when they come with Universal Basic Income (UBI), you will flee to it with all the strings attached - fully digital, social credit score, a no ownership of your assets. But you will be relieved, safe, and happy. And why is the vaccine coming after the elderly? First, they are the ones most likely to have the most dire outcomes of the jab which reduces costs on Medicare and Social Security. But they are also the ones most likely to already own their home and see no benefit from UBI. And finally, don't think you can outrun the WEP with a paid-for house. If they want it, they will destroy you with property tax increases or eminent domain. Or you are a subscriber to Dr. Alexander and have been deemed in need of reeducation. Our only hope is that most of those in power have an intellect that does not rise to the level of their malice. We have been lucky so far.

A friend in Florida, a widow trying to see her twin daughters through medical school there, had her rent doubled on one month's notice.

My sister-in-law in Vegas is paying $2k a month for a studio with a half refrigerator and cooking plate on seedy Boulder Highway.

And the Fed, with their Owner Equivalent Rent, has the nerve to say housing is up 6%.

The NWO or Great Reset is moving along marvelously. If all goes well, most of America will live in city housing (ghettos like the Jews were placed in). If you don't have your home paid for, you will run aground in debt because of the high cost of living. I don't know how they will figure it out, and likely will, take away homes of people who own their homes. Unrealized capital gains will stop people from inheriting their parents homes; thankyou Obama/Biden/Communists.

Spent my whole life working, so I would be set in retirement; home paid off, savings, retirement. It is devastating to think I might loose everything.

Non-compliance, pay no taxes, and if needed, don't show up to work. Teach them that they work for us. They can do nothing to us if we don't support them. For those that say I have to keep my job, I have to sustainy way of life, eventually the rug will get pulled from under you and you won't have the job, or the lifestyle. Better to do it now. Same with the shots. If you took it to keep your job, you will never make enough to care for yourself with all of the medical problems that ypu will be facing in the years to come. Keep in mind, everything and everyone that has taken any c vax was gone in 3 years. You must work to awaken everyone you know, esp those that bought into c19, they will be the hardest. They have the mark of the beast inside them, the m(essaging)rna inside them. It will be terrifying for them to wake up. Educate the Dr.s, empower the ones who know to speak up. Stop taking the shots, stop testing, stop the madness and we, the majority come out on top.
