Privatize all education. Then there is no funding problem to solve. Government is the problem.

Agree, Shut down the DOE & NEA is no more. Education should be decided at the local level.

The only problem is, when government gives you money, it comes with strings attached. If you can mitigate that problem, then it could be a good thing. But look how they can manipulate public schools through withholding funding. It can be a bad thing too, if you become dependent on government largesse.

Dr. Alexander........and anyone else that thinks this is a good idea.....the reason this is a VERY bad idea is that once a private school takes state and/or federal money they are required to follow state and federal mandates for education. So what this does is destroy private education as they have public education. This is the part of choice parents don't get. All they see are the $$$ signs but these private schools will end up being every bit as bad as the public school system. Private means PRIVATE not PUBLIC and should be funded with PRIVATE money not PUBLIC money because like I said this will turn private schools into public schools and THAT IS THE AGENDA. They do not want better forms of education for our children. They want them all dumbed down and indoctrinated. Believe me anything Roberts supports is being pushed by the enemy.

i don't see it that way IF it is on a per class subsidy....

another words the money only extends to the class that is being subsidized in the first place... NOT the school.

the interest of the state is to teach everyone algebra for instance.

not for teaching extra things even though they may be useful such as making a fire with two sticks.

Excellent news. I had no idea whatsoever that so many justices had attended Catholic schools as children. Like J.R. Biden.

Won't this allow political Islam to advance their agenda, and lessen interaction with the general population?

As long as the gov does not tell the private schools what to do...

Funding must follow the child, rather than automatically being directed to nearest geographical public school. End the government monopoly on the allocation of public funds. Public schools are free to compete, but they must compete on the merits... no strings attached!

Seems a no brainier. But I am sure Sotomayor would allow a church of Satan if roles were reversed.

i like it.

the amount of money should be based on the number of classes taught and any net bus subsidies.

Exactly what I was thinking. I.e. Forcing religious schools to teach the same woke crap taught in public schools, b/c they are now getting paid tuition by the state. (Did I read that part correctly?)

yes!!!! starting 2022-23 maine will require identical curriculum in both private and public schools.

they have a weird setup where parents in remote areas have the choice of sending their kids to public or private schools, and if they choose private, they get a voucher to cover tuition. which may explain the push there to standardize the curriculum - which is no doubt all crt propaganda

YES IT DOES. But all parents see is the $$$$. The push to publicly fund private education has always been about destroying private education and the parents are falling for it because all they see are the $$$ signs.

Not all private schools will do this. This may turn out to be a good thing; it may separate the fake from the real private school. We already see some private schools just as woke as private.
