Clearly Russian disinformation just like the laptop. Good thing there were 50 former intel people who let us know the laptop was likely disinfo. Here we go again. I posted the truth about the so-called "bioweapons labs" in Ukraine, which are nothing of the sort. So I'll post it again, and likely have this info ignored again because you only believe the rumor-mongers, I guess.
The actual DoD Threat Reduction Agency grant descriptions, which I have copies of, clearly state that these mostly mobile biolabs (NOT BIOWEAPONS LABS) were to help combat livestock diseases like anthrax and bird flu in Ukraine. The Metabiota tiny little grant was for monitoring software (which they actually produced). It's a legitimate product, regardless of kickback corruption, etc.
Eastern Europe including Ukraine has had anthrax outbreaks in particular for well over a hundred years from soil spores, and during Soviet times there were hundreds of outbreaks. Since anthrax not only kills livestock but can be transmitted to humans (obviously), the Ukrainian government began trying to limit the outbreaks upon attaining independence in 1991. So these small (grants were ALL less than $2M for both design and fabrication) labs were to be stationed in agricultural areas to help control livestock diseases by diagnosing, treating, vaccinating, and identifying livestock to be quarantined. The Ukrainian government has had success in reducing the number of anthrax outbreaks in particular. I haven't found data on bird flus and other illnesses.
Of course, Russian propagandists seize on the existence of these labs (which do indeed contain anthrax, obviously, along with other livestock pathogens), calling them "bioweapons labs" (never mind they are over an order of magnitude cheaper than the $44M BSL4 Wuhan WIV which was indeed used to develop a "bioweapon"). Nobody in their right mind would attempt to engineer some kind of a bioweapon, let alone "weaponize" it through some sort of delivery vehicle, in a cheap mobile vet lab.
Also, here's a record of the success Ukraine had in reducing anthrax - it's clear they were hoping the vet labs would help in eradicating at least anthrax, if not the other livestock diseases.
